My wife and I recently converted our one-story 1930’s bungalow into a two-story modern prairie. From inception to completion, from construction to finishes, through all the details of building a house, we didn’t make a better or more important decision than selecting Jordache Avery as our architect.

Jordache has several characteristics that distinguish him as an architect. First of all, he is attentive. When Jordache came to discuss the project for the first time we slowly walked through our house and described our overarching aspirations for the project: big windows and lots of light, two distinct but joined living spaces, modern architecture that would fit into the neighborhood… Second of all, he has vision. Two weeks later Jordache returned with renderings that not only incorporated all of our feedback but exceeded our wildest expectations. We can do that!?!? To this house!?!?

After several iterations of the plans, we worked out the details and then moved into the hard part of the project: selecting a builder and starting construction. It was during the (unavoidable) difficult moments that ensued that Jordache displayed another defining characteristic: he is a respected advocate that will go to bat for his customers. What we quickly learned during our renovation is that our builders had two customers: the Johnsons and Jordache. An influential architect doing multiple projects across the city, our builders had a vested interest in pleasing Jordache. When we had a difficult moment on the job, Jordache used his unique position to quickly and fairly resolve the issue.

Finally, Jordache is a pleasure to work with. He’s patient, insightful and has a good sense of humor. Building a home is an incredibly exciting, difficult, creative, and taxing project. You want to go through this type of experience with someone you trust and enjoy. Jordache is that guy.

I worked with Jordache Avery [Xmetrical] to design a 3,500 sqr/ft modern home in Midtown Atlanta and it was an extremely enjoyable experience. The attention to detail, architectural quality control and creative insight was extraordinary. This project helped to further reinforce how important it truly is to work with seasoned firm such as Xmetrical. I'd seen their work featured in the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Curbed and other publications and I was a fan. Now with first-hand experience, I would highly recommend Xmetrical and safely say that they are easily one of the premier architectural firms in Atlanta. My project was a tear down and rebuild with a construction condition to build the new home around an existing pool. The design and layout of the interior and exterior space worked well to create clean lines and levels throughout the home. The use of cantilevers and exterior finishings such as the ipe wood, stone and distinct stucco color combinations brought the design together masterfully.

When considering modern building and/or remodeling Xmetrical should certainly be at the top of anyone's list.

I can’t say enough about how pleased we are with Xmetrical. We worked with the owner, Jordache Avery on an extensive tear down and new construction project to build our modern home in Intown Atlanta. To say we had a great experience would be an under statement…he truly is phenomenal! We had a lot of ideas about what we wanted in our new home and Jordache listened and diligently worked to capture the essence of what we desired and expanded upon those concepts to deliver a stunning design! He proposed thoughtful ideas that reflected his keen sense of modern architecture. He was meticulous in his approach to the design and execution of our project and always maintained clear communications, which is essential on a project of this magnitude. We couldn’t be more pleased with our experience and with final product! We highly recommend Jordace Avery, Xmetrical and if the opportunity presented itself again, we wouldn’t hesitate to work with him in the future!

This company has the best designed homes I have ever seen. Now my wife has her own real-estate company so I have been inside of a lot of million dollar homes but it's only a couple of them that made me say to myself wow. Xmetrical they build the home of the future with style, thought and enginuity. Xmetrical is what the modern home should be.
