Working with Woodscape was a pleasure. We started off with a design that we liked but Kevin worked with us on a design that far surpassed our expectations. The quality of the construction is great and the appearance of the decking always gets compliments from our guests. We went with a composite that uses Ipe in the main portion of the deck and Rosewood on the edges. Absolutely beautiful final product especially with the lattice around the deck and the lighting on the deck posts and stairs.

Woodscape completed a complicated project at our home which included the demolition of an existing deck and gazebo and the construction of a new screened-in porch, deck area and pergola while coordinating with the installation of a pool and patio. What I appreciated most was the time Kevin spent on the front end with us as we worked through some critical design elements of the project and material selection. He was very patient and helpful through this process. We have been very happy with the completed project.

I rarely do online reviews, but Kevin and his company have earned every bit of an awful rating and I feel the need to warn others who might work with Woodscape: design skills, knowledge of materials, overall quality of work = average. Where you'll end up regretting working with Woodscape is in the extremely poor communication, project management, and 'don't care' attitude. If you work with Woodscape, you can expect your project to drag on frustratingly for months beyond what it should take to complete, and you'll never get an honest answer about where things stand. The best part is Kevin makes it clear he could care less. Buyer beware!

Kevin is a Pro. Like most everyone else considering a contractor for a home improvement project, I was concerned about finding a company that I could trust. I've heard horror stories of contractors not showing up, price gouging, doing sub-par work and coming in way over budget. I had 3 companies give me estimates before I spoke with Kevin (who I found via a referral). Within 15 minutes of sitting down with him, he had established more credibility than the previous 3 combined. I gave him an idea of what we wanted and he and his team took it from there. He showed the patience of Ghandi as my wife and I made change after change and asked question after question.

We had a fairly complex project. A two level 18x30 main deck constructed in a manner that will allow us to to eventually enclose it as an addition, a second story balcony measuring 10x12 with a dry-fit ceiling below and an outdoor ceiling fan.

The attention to detail that Woodscapes carpenters showed during the construction was amazing. These guys weren't day laborers by any stretch, but true craftsmen. Prior to the decking going down, they actually used hand planers to level the cross-beams so there would be no long term buckling.

The best part of my new, amazing outdoor living area is that I didn't have to do anything but stroke a check. Kevin managed every aspect of the project from start to finish. He finished on-time, on-budget.

Woodscapes was not the least expensive quote I received, but some things are worth spending a couple extra bucks on. Superior design, superior craftsmanship and professional project management made it worth every dime.
