I was headed to Birmingham and had to pull over in Dodge City, Alabama because my right rear wheel bearing went out. 4:30 in the afternoon and every other shop closes at 5:00. By the grace of God I found Joseph Willingham's shop. I called and Joseph said he could get me back on the road if the parts were available. I limped down the road another 8 miles until I arrived at Willingham Automotive with my right rear wheel smoking. After it cooled down, Joseph assessed the situation and called in the parts order. The parts were delivered and his mechanics worked diligently for several hours until the job was completed. Joseph was very reasonable on his price and the job was done well. Joseph is a fine Christian man who left to teach a class at his church. When he returned he went right back to work, helping his mechanics and ensuring the repair was done correctly. I found this shop because of an emergency, but I would recommend this shop to anyone needing any automotive repair.

As my husband, daughter and I traveled from Auburn to Cullman, we hit something on the Interstate that caused the car to shutdown. This was the only tow shop in the area to pick up the phone (and on the 1st ring). Joseph was so kind hearted and sensitive to our needs. Not only did he tow our car, he took us around the Jefferson County area to different car rentals. Due to spring break everyone was sold out. He didn't leave us until we were safe in a car. To wrap things up, the radiator and engine had to be replaced. He and his wife assisted with dealing with the insurance company. He replaced what needed repaired and has my car running like new. This man is truly God sent and will turn your bad day into a blessed one. Thank you to Joseph and your family. Please continue to do what you do!!!

Our alternator went bad on a Saturday while traveling home from spring break. Willingham’s was the only place open, Joseph gave us a quote, sent someone to pick up the part right away and got us back on the road. He even called me later in the day to make sure we were getting along safely.

Have to give a big thanks to Joe and team at Willingham Auto.
Was on a long distance trip, and broke down stranded with a dead engine not far from their shop. Will tell you Joe is an honest christian man who went above and beyond the call of duty - gave me a tow, gave me a ride to airport to pick up a rental car - and kept me in the loop throughout the process of installing a new reman engine. Joseph dropped everything he had to help fix our car when we were on our way to Nashville to visit my father in law in the hospital. No other shop was open and we needed to get there that day. Our only had 23 miles left on the battery and he ordered the part and replaced within the same day.(2-3 hours) His family is so sweet and his son played with my daughter while we were waiting. We can thank him enough for his help and generosity. Thank you!! You will be taken care of here!

Sorry for the long review but I wanted to do the 5 stars justice
Would give 10 stars out of 5 if I could!! In today's world, it is hard to find someone you can trust in anything much less automotive repairs. Willingham Automotive is that company you can trust!
My daughter was heading back to Ohio after the holidays on I-65 and all of the sudden her dash lit up with just about every light that could illuminate. She had lost her alternator in the Land Rover LR4 she was driving. She coasted into the gas station just off the exit 291 (Hanceville). The station attendant came out and asked if my daughter needed any assistance.....My daughter replied that she didn't know what was wrong but her car wouldn't run. The attendant said called Mr. Willingham and asked if he could come look at our car. He did and diagnosed the problem quickly and had her car towed back to his shop in less than an hour! He found the parts in Huntsville and got them delivered to his shop within hours. My daughter felt comfortable and at ease the entire time she was at the shop (which means a lot to me as a father of girls). Mr. Willingham was very extremely reasonable with his pricing of both parts and service. He did great work and even followed up several days later to make sure my daughter was back up in Ohio safely! Great business owner and awesome auto tech! Would recommend him to anyone in the area or if you are just passing through Hanceville and have automotive issues, Call Willingham Automotive!

Joe Willingham is a special person and his business reflects that. We were traveling from Nashville to Birmingham for my mother's funeral when we started losing coolant. We stopped at the Shell station at exit 291. A local resident called Joe and he came to check on us. We drove to his shop where he determined we needed a new water pump. Joe told us not to worry about the car since we had more important things to deal with. We got back to the shop in a couple of days and Joe had us taken care of at a very reasonable price. I have since driven from Nashville to see him because I don't trust the local dealerships. When we haven't been able to get to him, Joe has called mechanics in our area to find someone he thinks is trustworthy. I know of no one else who would do that. Joe is a Marine veteran so when you do business with him, you are supporting a very deserving veteran owned business. When you go to Willingham Automotive, ask Joe what he has buried into the foundation of his shop. You will then understand why Joe Willingham is such a special person.
