Walker Home Design is a fantastic architectural design firm. Jamie and his staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I have been building custom homes for over 18 years and I have had nothing but good things to say about them. The plans are easy to read and economical to build. Jamie has drawn one of personal homes and it now sits on the front cover of my companies brochure. It’s spectacular! He has also drawn my office building in Draper. Overall they’ve done easily 50 plans for us. I highly recommend them from the most basic to the most complicated project, they can and will deliver a high quality product to build from.

Jamie and team were able to design a beautiful addition to our current new build that ties in seamlessly with our previous architect’s plans. He was quick to realize our vision and instantly draw things up from our very first meeting. He was also able to problem solve a couple of things on our existing home. Jamie is very creative and knows how to layout things extremely well. We can’t wait to start building these beautiful plans!

Beware Jamie is difficult to work with to the point of arrogance and does not admit or make good on things when he has done something incorrect on plans. Our builder knew how we wanted a particular item because it had been communicated in all the meetings including with Jamie. He brought the deficiency to our attention and the fact it was not in the plans Jamie designed for us. Jamie refused to try and correct or do anything to make up for his error. In fact, he did the opposite and simply indicated that is not the way he remembered the discussion and that we were wrong on how we wanted this particular item! Very frustrating to work with and wish we would have used a different architect. Make sure you take a few people with you to every meeting and document it all as you will need witnesses to back you up because Jamie certainly won't.

Jamie is so awesome. He took the time to talk with me on the phone about my project through pictures and video. My project was smaller so he recommended I take on this project myself and save some cash. He was able to refer me to some trades and people he trusts.

Jamie and the design team are amazing and truly offer a service and product unlike anywhere else. We’ve used WHD twice and wouldn’t go anywhere else with future home designs. We were listened to, granted the space to think on certain plans, and felt like we had someone as vested in our design as we did building our home.

Jaime and team have been great!! The plans that he designed for us were exactly what we wanted as far as layout, sizes, style and cost effective. If I build another custom home, for sure I will come to Walker Home Design and work with them again.
