In June of 2024, high winds damaged our roof. It was the original roof from when the house was built in 2000. When searching for reputable and excellent companies for needed work, I consistently ask for references from trusted neighbors and friends, which is what I did on this occasion. I then did my own research. I narrowed my list down to six companies to contact. Two stated they don't help the customer with insurance claims (I had already filed a claim - but I wasn't sure if my insurance provider would authorize repair or replacement). I scheduled appointments with the other four. While I was in front of my house waiting for one of the contractors to arrive to inspect the roof, answer my interview questions, and provide estimates, Kris with VP Roofing drove up. He noticed the damage to my roof as he was driving by (my house backs to a somewhat busy road). He talked to me about VP, his assessment based on the extent of damage that the roof should be replaced, and VP's experience and approach in working with insurance companies. He said VP has worked well with my insurance company in the past. I set up a time to talk more with him and with company owner, Jacob Fullmer. I asked them the same series of questions I asked the other four companies. Based on my overall impressions of VP and what my research showed, I decided to contract with VP. I am so glad I did. VP installed a tarp over the damaged area to prevent further damage while we waited for the insurance company's decision. VP worked so well with my insurance company, providing information about the extent of damage and the unavailability of replacement shingles. Full roof replacement was approved and my only cost for the replacement was my deductible. I really liked the roof installers. They were on time and they worked hard. They and Kris answered my questions (I'm sure I ask more questions than the average customer - and they were patient with me). Kris suggested shingle and trim colors and it ended up looking so good. Some of my gutter covers were damaged when the roofers removed the old roof (several had been screwed into the trim instead of into the gutter), and VP replaced the damaged covers at no cost to me. It took a few months to receive the GAF warranty documentation - I was waiting until I had it to write my review. I do not hesitate to recommend VP Roofing and I have already referred some friends.

Basically they handled all the things you don’t want to deal with.

I had Braden and Danny from VP Roofing stop by my house after knocking on my door. I had previously turned down multiple roofers, thinking there wasn’t enough hail or wind damage to warrant a claim—especially after being told as much by two other companies. But Braden and Danny were persistent, respectful, and took the time to address all of my concerns thoroughly.

They offered to inspect my roof and assured me that it wouldn’t hurt to take a look. I’m so glad I agreed. They showed me detailed photos of damage to my roof, soft metals, siding, and more. I was honestly blown away by how thorough and knowledgeable they were.

They walked me through the insurance process, helped me submit a claim, and were even present during the adjuster’s inspection. They made sure all damages were properly documented—even ones the inspector initially missed. Thanks to their effort and expertise, I had my roof, siding, gutters, and window screens fully replaced through my insurance.

I was initially hesitant because I’d heard that submitting a claim could raise my premiums or even risk my coverage being dropped. But Braden and Danny knew the industry inside and out, and they made sure everything was done properly and professionally.

Their cleanup was excellent, and the crew was fast, efficient, and easy to work with. I was so impressed that I had them inspect and handle claims for three of my rental properties too—each one got fully covered as well.

If you have the opportunity to work with Braden and Danny, take it. Their experience, attention to detail, and dedication to getting the job done right truly sets them apart. If you come across them knocking on your door, consider yourself lucky—you’re in great hands. Highly recommend.

Danny Strachan was very helpful in coordinating the entire roof replacement process. He was readily available for questions. The new roof looks great and we also had a new gutter installed which we are pleased with as well. There was some confusion with the insurance company but this was remedied without much issue. Overall a very positive experience.
