Stephan Tremblay at Vest Engineering was just what I needed. When I put an addition onto my house, the county required me to get Structural Engineering Drawings. The first company that I contracted gave me a set of drawings that were so incompetent that I could not use them. Then I found Stephan Trembly. He was able to understand what I needed and submitted a set of drawings that were, though strict and conservative, simple, competent, thorough and easy to follow. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs engineering drawings.

Stephan Tremblay was AMAZING!!! We were in the process of remodeling our kitchen when we found out that a wall we wanted out was a load bearing wall. Stephan was amazing in the way he was able to procure the beam, he sent his team of installers and someone to supervise the project along with himself to ensure everything was done according to specs. I had the pleasure of working with Stephan with Vest Engineering recently. The process from start to finish was great! Stephan is very professional and meticulous. He and his team did a great job in designing and installing 4 steel beams for my basement renovation. I would have no problem in recommending Vest Engineering and their services.

I had water issues within my basement and the restoration company recommended I call a structural engineer out to confirm the cracks were not related to any foundation issues. I choose to call Stephan out before my basement floor remodel.

I paid $300 bucks for a site visit that lasted under 10 minutes with no recommendations, vague explanations for the cracks, and no guidances any future issues that might occur or ways to prevent further cracks -- all of which I assumed would be part of the visit. In addition, he did not even remembered my name, had my cell number, nor did he even remembered why I called him for a site visit.

Overall, it was a frustrating and lackluster interaction that I felt was not worth my money. I understand that I was doing this for my own peace of mind, but to not even provide any detailed context that's worth 300 bucks. He simply told me "it was due to concrete shrinkage, and ... it's whatever you want to do", when I asked what should I do in preparation for the wood floor installation. Save your money someone that's actually empathetic about your situation and want to help by providing their expertise.

Great structural engineer!!! As a restoration contractor, Stephan has been vital in helping me address structural issues with my projects over the years.
