When I first arrived at Van Parys Architecture + Design, I questioned how one firm could do more than one thing well (the old adage). As I familiarized myself with their studio, it became apparent that they do, indeed, do many things well - multifaceted; with integrity and without compromise. Their skill, artistic insight and capabilities are outstanding; ready to promote our initial ideas, take them to the next level, be the innovators that they are and that we need, or delicately suggest ways to scale some of my overreaching ideas back into the budget.

We have never felt like ‘just another client’ with the Van Parys team. They have taken the time to know us personally; a bit of our history, our family, our passions, and our experiences. Their genuine interest fuels their creativity and vigor for the project and the take away is clear, from design to execution. Disclaimer: COVID has kept our plans from reaching the ‘execution’ stage, but with patience and their drive for solution, Michael and Rosa are helping to reimagining our project, realign it within our needs and reassess without hesitation, all while continuing to generate excitement, inspiration and options.

Importantly, I have had the pleasure of working with the entire staff and of meeting the Van Parys extended family. I’ve seen that Michael & Rosa, like us, consider family sacred. In turn, they treat their clients and staff as they treat their family; with interest, respect and compassion.

We were already almost one year into our big remodeling project when we realized that it was not working with our current architect and decided it was time to reconsider things. It was stressful period because this experience told us that choosing the right architect partner is instrumental for the success of such sizable endeavor. Rosa Van Parys and Diane Amirian have been directly responsible for several professional projects in our home as well as my 9,000 Sq Ft Office Space. The design concepts and schemes have been beyond innovative and simply magnificent. As a Business Manager my office needed a unique concept. The design implemented a fusion of all areas within the Entertainment Industry that accommodated my various and diverse range of clients. When clients come in for meetings they tend to walk the entire office to view the entire concept. The same innovation and uniqueness has transcended to our home as well. It has been a pleasure to work with VPA&D on two remodels in the past seven years. My family and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Rosa and Michael are a dynamic and talented couple with a creative team that transformed our dated houses into stylish, timeless, warm and comfortable homes.

Our renovations were quite extensive involving kitchen remodeling, adding a master suite, adding and redesigning bathrooms, replacing a staircase and fireplaces, raising ceilings, opening up rooms, leveling floors in addition to decorating all these spaces. Their designs were artistic and innovative, contemporary while keeping the integrity of our homes and always addressed our budgetary constraints.

Rosa is not only a gifted designer, she is a personable and genuine individual. Her ingenuity, creativity and vision are beyond description. She listens and tailors her unique designs to meet our needs and lifestyle. She and her team are always flexible and able to adjust with alternative plans or resources if needed. She seamlessly incorporated many of our furnishings from one house to the other even though the styles were quite different.

There are so many important decisions to be made when remodeling...it’s very reassuring and gives me peace of mind to have professionals I trust to guide me in the right direction saving time and costly mistakes. It’s really quite an exciting and rewarding experience to work with experts like VPA&D!
