We went with Utah Heat Cable for our home heat cable replacement. We were told our job was complete and when my husband went onto the roof to inspect the work, he found that a patch of cable had been left without screws and in another patch, incorrect screws were used that would have resulted in corrosion. This felt dishonest and was really disappointing. When I contacted the company 3 weeks later to check in on when the correct screws would be installed, I was told that the project was complete and my invoice was awaiting payment. The job is now complete but it was a disappointing company experience. I do wonder how many of the 5 star reviews are a result of most homeowners never inspecting the completed work.

Austin and Mitch did a terrific job on our recent heat cable installation. They worked hard to install the heat cable properly throughout the roof by carefully and effectively placing the system in the most optimal areas down roof valleys, through the downspouts and in the best areas above the gutters and drip edge. The electrical was wired properly and with safety and efficiency in mind. I would highly recommend using Austin and Mitch for your installs through Utah Heat Cable. Thanks!

Sometimes you get what you pay for. These guys rock! Can’t recommend them highly enough! We previously had a roofing company install heat cable and it was ok but far from great. It helped us limp along but often got overwhelmed and we ended up with an icy driveway fairly regularly. A thermostat eventually broke and after a miserable winter of frozen downspouts, huge icicles pulling on gutters, ice on our driveway, etc, we called Utah Heat Cable. They designed a great solution and this winter was a dream. A special note to add. I was so impressed with the work they did but even more impressed with their values and ethics. In the process of converting an electrical line to 240 to run the heat cable, they inadvertently burned out a doorbell and two garage door openers that no one realized were on the same run. Not only did they fully replace all of these items but they did so quickly and expertly. They now have a raving fan and customer for life. Call them! They won’t be the cheapest but they will be the best. You’ll get your money’s worth!

Scott provided an outstanding level of service with explanation of Utah Heat Tape's products, installation process, smart technology options and overall took his time working with us on how to best layout the heat tape runs, T-offs, etc... so we could efficiently plan out of heat tape system. Zach the electrician tech also provide outstanding level of service with the installation hook up of electrical, smart technology switches/ plugs and inspecting the entire system and took his time to explaining the system set up and how to operate the system. We interviewed 5 different heat tape companies & gutter companies that also install heat tape, Utah Heat Tape by a long shot did a better job at explaining the heat tape products, took their time working with us prior to submitting a bid and were competitively priced than the rest of the companies, but the level of service is what won them the job with us!

I have used different heat cable companies in the past and Utah Heat Cable has taken care of my needs better than any other company. They have gone out of their way to take care of our needs on several jobs. Not only are they great to work with as well as very knowledgeable but the prices are reasonable and not out of control like some other companies. I will use them on all my upcoming projects.

Everything from start to finish interacting with the people at Utah Heat Cable was quite good.  While it took many weeks to have someone bid on the job, it was still quicker than the competition.  Again, though they were not able to start the job as soon as I preferred, they were up front about the timing and stayed true to the estimate.    Zak and Austin worked on the project (on separate days a week apart to allow adhesive to cure in the interim).  How they approached the job was ESPECIALLY conscientious.  I know this because I actively snooped/participated while they plied their trade, and they readily answered my questions and explained their reasoning for different design and installation decisions, all of which seemed focused on a quality and a long-lasting job as opposed rushing or cutting corners that might lead to a quicker exit to their long work day.   They were replacing a 15 year-old installation (someone else's) that had failed due to several suboptimal choices 'back then': (multiple splices, suboptimal cable pattern, under-emphasis on the slip sheet, etc).  I really appreciate how much better this job ended up being.

So happy we went with Utah Heat Cable. Scott was great to work with helping us decide what would work best for us. David did the final install of the thermostat and educating us on how everything works. Last but not least, Holly in the office was great in keeping us informed on appointments and any delays.
