Working with Rob was a great experience. As his customers, he was very good to us throughout the entire home building process. Building a custom home is a stressful experience no matter what, but Rob was flexible and understanding (even with all of our last minute changes). He treated us like family and spent a lot of time at our home (even brought dinner for us and the kids a few times!) going over plans, ensuring he understood our wants.

On numerous occasions, Rob stood up for us to ensure we were being priced and treated fairly through his contractors. We appreciated that a lot.

We have heard of other builders in our area ultimately walking away from their customers and just selling the completed home instead, as the price of the home they built was worth much more now, due to rising home prices here along the Wasatch Front. Rob could have done this to us — easily. However, he honored his word. We appreciated that.

The cherry on top was when he called a YEAR AND A HALF AFTER MOVE IN (yes, signing on the dotted line and everything) and asked how the house was doing — if anything needed to be replaced, or fixed, or looked at again (even though, per contract, he was only required to guarantee a year). We actually did — we had a few pipes freeze over the winter. (No fault of his own actually, we designed a covered patio with a bathroom right above it — why did we do that?!) He had his team was over shortly after that phone call to take down the soffit and put in thicker insulation.

The build wasn’t without stresses or problems, all builds just are. I think all builders are somewhat destined to butt heads with their customers from time to time. But, again, I have to emphasize his flexibility and ultimate desire to do the right thing and make us happy. He worked the budget around our crazy expensive black-trimmed windows. He shook his head and laughed at the price, but we made it work. When he realized he forgot to budget for a fireplace, he even paid for one for us out of pocket.

We needed to finish our basement and True Homes was recommended to us by a friend. We now have a new 2nd kitchen, custom backsplash walls with amazing cabinets, laminate flooring and lighting.

Our family now has more room to watch movies, play games and enjoy each other’s company. We also gained equity in our home. Definitely turned out to be a wise decision to hire them!

I would just personally like to thank Rob for all his expertise and great work ethic. Having to do a remodel can be very stressful at times l was very impressed with his staff as well they are very intentive to my needs and also the level of care that was involved was definitely something that I was impressed with considering some bad prior experiences with contractors. I am also very particular and Rob and staff took the time to answer all my questions and concerns as there is a lot of different aspects involved when remodeling a home. Where to start. We purchased a home from them and a month later our utilities got shut off because he never paid his part before we took ownership. He (Rob) has had work that is needing finished and touched up and its now been 9 months and he constantly doesn't get it scheduled for completion. We have had arguments on the phone and through text and still doesn'tt schedule. He is very unprofessional and full of s$^t and you can not believe anything he say. We also had sub contractors come by and said he did not pay them fully. Do yourself a favor and go with a different contractor.
