If you want peace, do not come here. This has been the absolute worst renting experience of my life. From the very first week, there were problems. The AC wasn’t working during the hottest days of the year, and instead of fixing it, they gave us fans—fans that just blew hot air.

Management is a disaster. There’s a new person in the office almost every day. Their turnover rate is insanely high, which is no surprise considering how poorly they treat both tenants and employees. Since moving in, I’ve already seen three different property managers.

Maintenance is a joke. I have unresolved issues from last year, and instead of actually fixing anything, they just close maintenance requests without doing the work. I have never dealt with this many maintenance problems in my life.

I cannot wait to leave just to have some peace. The rent they charge does not match the conditions here. You can pay the same amount elsewhere and get far better living conditions.

Save yourself the stress and DO NOT MOVE HERE!

And please don't respond saying you want to fix it when I have no response to my emails.

This place is very poorly managed and the visible consequences of that are noticed daily. I’ve lived here for a month and while I like how accessible the location is I’m consistently reminded how the people in charge here genuinely do not care about customer service, leases or laws.

As I said I’ve only lived here for a month, when moving in they waited until the very last minute to tell me the unit I got approved for wouldn’t be available two days before my move in date, prior to that they had confirmed it would be and I had made accommodations to move because of that. So once they informed me last minute I couldn’t move they then tried to upsell me on another unit that they claimed was an upgrade. Not only did that unit not look any different than my original one, it actually looked worse. Told them I wasn’t paying more for it before I had even seen it and I’m glad I did. So they honored the original price.

Generous right? Nope, they knew they couldn’t pull off scamming anyone with this “upgraded unit” unless the person was legally blind. There were so many things broken or poorly put together that I noticed on day one and put on my move in checklist. A month later all those issues are still pending maintenance request, and some of them were closed and marked as resolved which is funny because no one ever came to my unit.

Highly encourage anyone dealing with issues here to file a complaint with AOIN management and the attorney general. They carelessly violate Maryland housing laws here and they don’t care…..too bad they did this to someone who knows the legal world :).

The management office causes so many problems—they lost our checks and even sued us for “not” paying rent (even though we have all the receipts). My roommate and I had to help them figure out what went wrong. We can’t wait to move out!

One update: The neighborhood is mostly okay, although a few individuals are really problematic—you definitely don’t want to deal with them. For example, someone threw a cigarette butt at my dog when I was walking him in the dark. I don’t know who did it, but it was absolutely terrifying!

Wish I could give a zero star, don’t move here.. their leasing office is almost never opened, there’s no management, rude and always angry leasing agents. They never have answers to questions, there’s always a new face frowning. Roaches all over.. whole place smells of weed/marijuana. If a neighbor smokes, it’s like they smoking right in your room.. dirty neighborhood. Unprofessional, incompetent, lazy, disappointing, rude, no customer care. With all these negatives, they still charge very high for rent .. I wonder what they use the money for.. my lease ended and they’ve tried everything possible not to pay back my security deposit. I got people to clean and paint before leaving.. handed their keys to them on a Wednesday , but their final account statement is charging me for dropping they keys on a Thursday that I never stepped foot there.

If I could give them a zero star I would. I am actually currently leasing there and the leasing office management staff is very unprofessional and rude when they talk to you. When you get in, they don’t greet you, they don’t ask you what you want, they just stare at you. Today I talked to a leasing agent with a braided hair. She didn’t tell me her name but it is in the flats Columbia pike leasing office. She was very rude when she was talking to me. Even when I was talking to her, she wasn’t able to help me or give me the right information. I don’t know why the staff is there to be quite honest. They getting paid to be rude to the customers and not give any service at all. She acted like I was there to get a free house. I don’t know how anybody can communicate with such a rude person. Also they didn’t get the correct information from us with the correct spelling to begin with and they made us come back and forth so many times. If my experience is this bad before I even get into the apartment, I can imagine how the service is going to be when I live there. It is unfortunate because I like the apartment but a horrible staff. Also they never pick up the office phone. You can keep calling but it always says no one available to pick up your call.

This apartment is a great place to live which is clean and beautiful. However, the new management and leasing office is the worst part. They don’t answer phone calls and emails, they don’t give enough information about the leasing and availability. They are not welcoming to the new tenants and they make it harder to move in to this apartment in general. I have lived almost 4 years in this apartment and is the best apartment however due to the bad management and leasing office people, people can’t get in the apartment. Please, the landlord of this place take the necessary steps ASAP and change the management.

This is quite possibly the most unprofessional apartment complex I have ever had to deal with. I have been waiting for months for a call back and they are never in the office. Save yourself the stress and find somewhere else to live. The apartments themselves are not even worth the stress of dealing with these leasing agents.

We were scheduled for a tour @ 4pm. Two ladies didn’t have an appointment but the other couple did. The leasing agent let the walk-in view an apartment and told us to wait outside. How can someone who just walked in get to see an apartment before us and then told us to wait in our car. How about if we didn’t have a car, did she want us to stand in the cold. I think not. Very bad customer service.
