Overall I have been happy with my experience living at a Copley Group Apartment over the past 2 years. Fenway is an expensive neighborhood where even basic units are quite pricy, but putting that aside my experience with Copley has been excellent.

Pros:
1. Location - very convenient to Longwood hospitals, the Fenway T stop, museums, grocery store, Target etc
2. Great maintenance team - rapid responses to all my needs, speedy repairs, quick to replace appliances as needed
3. Clean units and buildings without pests, damage etc
4. Communal laundry was well maintained, clean space, never had to wait for a machine

Cons:
1. Cost - this is Fenway, not Copley specifically!
2. Buildings are old and thus the plumbing, heating etc is old.

Tip: if you want to park in Fenway but not pay for a spot, permits for street parking are free from the city of Boston!

Also, do not use a broker for Copley apartments if possible! You can go through Copley directly and avoid the broker's fee!

I have lived in my apartment managed by The Copley Group for a little over 6 months and my experience has been nothing but positive so far. Here are the factors contributing to my 5 star review:

- you can handle leasing directly through TCG to avoid a brokers fee - this saved me $2000!
- Kyle, who handles their internal leasing, is friendly and very helpful
- I was able to request several maintenance items, including that my unit be freshly painted before I moved in
- the maintenance staff is friendly and has completed any maintenance orders I have filed in a timely fashion
- the online resident portal makes paying rent and filing maintenance requests easy
- heat and water is included with the rent (for my building)
- they offered me a reasonable renewal rate (no crazy price increase for rent) to re-sign

Boston is expensive and the apartments are old and small. It makes the high rent sting a little less to have a property management company who is friendly, professional, prices their properties reasonably and maintains them well.

I am the only person I know in Boston that absolutely ADORES their property management. Copley group is the best - this is an (incomplete) list of everything they've done (incredibly promptly) since I moved in
- Provided touch up paint
- Ordered new fridge door shelf
- Re-supported bathtub
- Re-finished tub on move-in
- Replaced kitchen floors with gap in them
- Replaced broken mini-blinds

Literally the BEST BEST BEST management. Make sure you lease DIRECT from them and there is NO BROKER FEE!!!!!

Truly cannot say enough nice things!!!!

A couple of things here for the one star review. I’ve been a tenant here for two years. The first year was fine but recently these guys have been dropping the ball.

Our washing machine was broken for a time and it took multiple months to get a new one. When we got a new one it was the wrong size so they had to re-order it which was another couple of weeks. One we finally got the new washer, they took our door off to install it. When they left they said they’ll send a guy to fix it. That was back in December and we are still waiting. Called them as well and left a voicemail and still waiting for someone to come. I guess voicemails aren’t checked when you call so don’t even bother.

They definitely oversold parking spaces because sometimes there’s no spots left. It’s $300 a spot. My roommate parked his car in a spot in the back because there was literally nowhere else to go so he had to in a ride share spot. Which by the way the sign showing it was a ride share spot was on the ground so he couldn’t see it. He got towed and asked for reimbursement and still hasn’t heard anything from them after emails and phone calls. But we’ve certainly got emails from them asking for more money so they definitely don’t hesitate to reach out for that.

On the note of parking, it’s been recently snowing a lot and they have not plowed. The back “parking area” is an ice rink. Literally had to push my friends car out of an icey snow patch on the main parking area path. As we were doing it another tenant walked out and also said their car got stuck too. Literally an ice rink and a genuine safety hazard for pedestrians and drivers. If you’re not careful you will slip and fall or crash your vehicle, not exaggerating.

There’s also cockroaches in 77 park and when they came to fix it they simply put a seal on the hole where they come out of so the building is definitely infested. Just a heads up if you don’t like cockroaches.

I’d be very cautious renting from these guys. Not even angry at this point because I hold them to such a low standard. Just know if you do rent from them the locations and units can be nice but the service is terrible. You will probably see cockroaches. If anything breaks it can take them months to fix your issue. If you buy a parking spot for $300 a month you may not find a spot and get towed. If you don’t have all winter tires and 4 wheel drive there’s a chance your vehicle will get stuck because they don’t plow and won’t even put sand down. You could also fall and break something if you walk in the parking lot in the winter after a snowy week.

Just a fair warning!

The Copley Group Offers beautiful apartment locations at reasonable prices. They have always been swift to reply whenever I asked a question or needed maintenance help (which you really appreciate when you accidentally lock yourself out!). I’ve been with them for years!

The living experience with The Copley Group has mostly been a positive one. There was a delay in them fixing the elevator for a period of time but other than that, it's been nice.

I have had a great experience since moving into a Copley Group property. The move in process was smooth, the maintenance team is fast and efficient, and the management even threw a block party for all residents with multiple free food trucks. I can safely say I am so far very satisfied with my experience working with the Copley Group and living in their property.

Lived here for a while... given copley one star is a simple decision:

1. There're constant constructions around and the apartments next to a driveway that's very busy, so over time your apartments will become very dirty because of all the constructions around and the traffic.

2. In the apartment building, there're constant noise from people moving in/out, or from constructions in the building. Plus, the walls have zero sound proof, so you get to live with all the noise around you.

3. Rents go up by about $200 every year, so you eventually will have to move out because the rents just become too high.

4. The brokers that this company work with have zero respect for renters. They will start sending you messages six months prior to your lease end, day and night! They demand touring your apartments at random times, I'm not sure if the way they do their business is legal. In summary, I will not recommend this group to anyone.
