Living at The Bennington has been a deeply disappointing experience, and I cannot recommend this apartment community to anyone looking for a peaceful or well-maintained home. Here are the main issues I’ve experienced:
1. Noise Pollution: The constant noise from four trains passing by daily and the nearby dog daycare across the tracks creates a nearly unbearable living environment. The vibrations from the trains shake the walls, and this was never disclosed during the leasing process.
2. Poor Maintenance: Maintenance requests are handled incredibly slowly, leaving important issues unresolved for far too long. This lack of urgency is unacceptable given the high cost of living here.
3. Outdated Interiors: The carpets feel old and worn, giving the apartment an unkempt and uncomfortable atmosphere. For the price I’m paying, I expected better upkeep.
4. Rude Front Desk Staff: The treatment my partner and I have received from the front desk has been rude and unprofessional on multiple occasions. This has made us feel unwelcome in our own home.
5. Unorganized Move-In Process: Moving in was chaotic and poorly managed, with no clear communication or support to make the process smoother.
6. Subpar Amenities: The gym and business center are barely functional and far below the standard promised when signing the lease. They feel neglected and underwhelming.

Overall, this apartment does not justify the high rent and promises of luxury. Transparency, professionalism, and better upkeep are desperately needed. For anyone considering living here, I recommend you look elsewhere unless major improvements are made.

I’ve been living in this building almost two years , and while the management advertises it as a smoke-free community, that hasn’t been my experience. One of my neighbors regularly smokes weed after midnight, and the smell is overwhelming. It’s so strong that I can’t even keep my windows open at night without it filling my apartment. I’ve already spoken to the office about the issue, but unfortunately, no action has been taken to resolve it. It’s frustrating, especially when the building is marketed as a smoke-free environment.

I been living here for 3 years and like I said last time, there is always something to fix but shout out to the maintenance team . They are always on time and fixing our problems. Janak is Kind and great at his job. He makes sure he completes his orders I put in before and check on us. We really appreciate him.

I currently live in this apartment with my wife and baby, and I would never recommend it to anyone. The management team is completely unprofessional, and their treatment of residents is appalling. Specifically, the older lady at the front desk is extremely rude and unprofessional—every interaction with her leaves you feeling disrespected and unwelcome.

It’s clear that management doesn’t care about the residents’ comfort or concerns. Living here has been a constant source of frustration because any questions or issues are met with dismissive, unkind responses. This is not a place where families feel supported or respected. If you’re looking for a welcoming, professionally managed community, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.

Bad business here. I don’t write unless I really want folks to be aware. I read the reviews prior to adding mines. I must say, they are right about being rude and unprofessional. They are forcing me out with 3 children under 6 years of age. Yes, I may be guilty of getting a little loud on the weekends when company is over but that is it and not every weekend. I have family that loves me. They have roaches bad and maybe other bugs. I fix what I can, and will go out of my way to do so because, they get upset when you ask for maintenance. They are lairs and I feel bad that others are coming to rent here. I love God and people and very clean. I go to the cancer center every six weeks to try to prevent it. Never paid rent late yet, they wrote a letter stating that I have paid late when HOC pays full rent. I understand they may want to terminate the contract after my apartment went into abatement because they lost a few hundred dollars. However, they are trying to say that I didn’t pay on time. I wrote a letter after they sent the notice and no one responded. Not even cooperate office. They all want money when they want it. Charged me for a garage I never used. They office ladies will lie to cover their mistakes. I don’t like to be around sneaky people especially lairs. Wake up people! This is not the only place that’s convenient because that’s all it is but nothing else but overpriced and manipulative, lairs. It’s your choice if it’s important to be somewhere where it is convenient or having a healthier environment where you can heal properly. I am glad that God allowing this to take place because it’s not for me and my babies health mentally, morally or physically. PS all appliances are very cheap or broken. I Don’t ADVISE THIS PLACE! You may look me up to see what type of person I am.

Ms. Joyce is the absolute best, as well as Monica and Kara! The events they have for the residents are truly incredible, as you can tell how much they care for us here. They make living here at the Bennington fun and exciting while also making certain our environment is clean, safe and problem free. Front desk is friendly and attentive, while maintenance is very timely and thorough. Best part is no pest! Pet friendly as well, beautiful view.

Applying and moving into The Bennington has been a beyond amazing experience! Monique and Joyce were extremely helpful and genuine throughout all of the steps. They provided me and my family with excellent service and were very sympathetic and patient with our situation. The Bennington itself has beautiful amenities and units and I can”t wait to move in!

Bad:
1. The building didn't switch to AC for my floor until May 9th which meant 2 months of sweltering heat in my apartment that got up to 89 degrees. You can't call yourself a luxury apartment and have apartments be essentially uninhabitable for months at a time.
2. Walls near hallway are thin. I can hear my neighbors across from me.
3. Rent is already high and they are raising it just because including the price for parking

Good:
1. nice size apartments w/ W/D.
2. the building is clean and has a gym.
3. there are storage units you can rent.
4. Maintenance is good and fast

Overall, the issue with the A/C is just unsustainable. I would never willingly put myself through that misery again.
