Amir handled our garage conversion into a studio apartment in the East Bay. As part of this process he measured out the space, listened to our list of requirements and provided us with several drafts until we were satisfied with the final plans. Then he filed the permit application with the city and followed up appropriately, including some back-and-forth on small points (I had no idea the process could be so slow from the city's end - egads!). He was good at following up with the permit team at regular intervals so that they wouldn't feel harassed, but would keep our project top of mind. We're finally at the point where we are actually building and I'm very excited about it! I very much appreciated Amir's patience with us first-time renovators and his timely updates, even when there was no update to give due to the city's speed.
