Great small town to visit, we had great weather at the time. Plenty to see within short walk of the cruise docks. The train ride is great with lots of history and beautiful views! A plethora of shops in town with varying prices in each one so shop around a while and compare prices. Beautiful place to visit in the fall but layer your clothing because temps can vary greatly.

Great little town with character. Explore off the beaten track for niche stores. Just a few too many jewelry stores on main street.

Quaint, small town that was a great day visit. We stopped here as part of our cruise to spend the day. Strolling up and down the main street is a really neat experience. The buildings and architecture take you back in time which adds to the experience.

We spent some time strolling around ducking in and out of museums to learn more about the history.

I would also recommend jumping on one of the tour buses that take you throughout the town. Along the way you will visit a historic cemetery and near the end of the tour the bus will take you to an overlook which provides incredible photo opportunities to see the entire town from above.

Loved the history of the area as presented by the guide on the Scagway train and three very creative bus drivers. Those that stay year round are hearty individuals. This land is beautiful but I can imagine very unforgiving to many who traversed in the early days. It is good there were requirements to even make the journey to search for gold. It is a land of mountains, ravines, waterfalls and glaciers.
