When I checked in to Casa Zafiro in the evening after an 8 hour drive from Arizona in August, 2023, there were blowers running in the Master Bedroom, the carpets were wet, and there were strong cleaning solvent fumes. The carpets in the Great Room, Den, Guest Suite and Loft were sooo filthy with pet stains, food ground into the carpet, and beach dirt, my husband & friends had to stay at a hotel. I stayed because I had my dog, and could not find a place to go with her, up in the loft, away from the fumes. The owner of Vacation Rentals of SB, Samantha Ireland, and her team would not do anything about the condition of the place. There were broken window cranks, and some windows were stuck open. She came the next day, argumentative, for me to "prove" that the house was Unstayable -- Those carpets were more filthy in the sunlight - dog stains, food and beach dirt, they had to all be cleaned, which took a week to finish. The dishwasher was broken for the whole stay, the walls were so dirty with grime, cleaning people had to scrub with Mr. Clean pads for hours. There was dust and cobwebs in and outside of the place. Tiles were torn off the baseboards and missing with exposed glue and unfinished walls. Window blinds were missing the wands to adjust them for light and dark. There was a huge construction project going on right outside the back yard and jacuzzi area, so there was saw dust all over every weekday. The construction noise was so noisy, every week day 7am-5pm that the owner agreed to a 30% discount. Samantha Ireland, owner of Vacation Rentals of SB then refused to refund the discount, saying she would after I checked out in a month, with my security deposit. I requested a reason to keep that money, she would not give one.

I checked in for the month right before Labor Day, and tried to find another place to move to, but could not find one at that late hour. I considered going home to Arizona, but took the discount and tried to make the best of the situation, as I had friends staying in Santa Barbara also, we had many plans with.

Horrible Company, in Every Way. I stayed in the Casa Zafiro 3 years before, the maintenance had really gone sooo Downhill under the management of Vacation Rentals Of Santa Barbara, and owner of the Company, Samantha Ireland.

Never Ever Again.
