I am sure there must be a back-story to the poor reviews I just read about Ronald W. Johnson Associates Inc. Perhaps there are two sides to each of those stories. What I can tell you is I solicited and received price quotes from other survey / engineering firms for a simple job locating the four corners of my property for a fence. No obstructions and all straight sides. Ronald W. Johnson quoted me 1/3 of what the next lowest firm quoted. Pluss, I was in a big rush. Ronald W. Johnson came right out. Others were a month or more out. Then when Ronald W. Johnson completed the job, they billed me only 2/3 of what they originally quoted, and they did extra work for no additional charge, locating middle of the lot locations for fence gates and perpendicular fence returns to the house. I stood by and closely monitored their work most of the time they were here just because I found it interesting. The two-person team was very professional and helpful. They explained so much of what they were doing and how they do it. I am considering using them again for some engineering work I need to construct a relatively tall retaining wall. Based on my experience, I am very comfortable giving these guys 5 stars.

Do not represent developers with any interest in local community. Ronald W Johnson and Associates is currently partnered with a development company looking to build on property in Gambrills, MD that is not legally zoned for commercial property but they are appealing to the courts to grant them an exception with no regard for the destructive nature this commercially development will have to the value of the adjacent neighborhoods.
