Heidi Richardson and colleague James Armdurer have been great collaborators. They fully embraced the concept of a contemporary Mill Valley cabin -- inside/outside living design, modest size, no gas service, fireproof exterior cladding, etc. Their talent and attention to detail have produced a beautiful result.

A special call out to Heidi during the city's design review process. She combined vast experience and negotiating skill with a practical bent. We passed on the first attempt.

They introduced me to a great-fit contractor and structural engineer. Moreover, during construction, Heidi and James have remained engaged and helpful. Top tier architects, people and partners!

As a Chicago architect Heidi worked with me to design and build a country home for my clients in the Sonoma Valley. As a Mill Valley architect she was instrumental in maintaining an empathetic relationship with our Marin County clients and invaluable in developing local resources and connections. She has an extensive cadre of consultants, understands environmental issues as well as zoning codes, building ordnances and construction procedures. While a consummate professional, Heidi also has an ebullient personality that makes for an ideal association. Our design strategies were in accord and the project evolved in a convivial and cooperative environment. I would not give any star at all if possible. The bottom line is, the work they did for me was found by posard brock + associates, a Marin firm which provides peer review of architectural work, to fall "below the standard of care" required of someone who does architectural work."
Their unprofessionalism cost me tens of thousands of dollars and not a few grey hairs. The tragedy is that I loved Heidi, loved working with her and never expected she would create a nightmare for me and not provide the plans for the home we were suppose to be designing.
