I would not recommend using Redoubt Realty. They chose not to respond to my legal requests until I posted a review on Facebook. To me, this is not a way to show customers that your business possesses integrity.
Next, I would like to share my concerns with the Realtor we used, Randy Work. My husband and I are out of state, first time property investors. We hired a professional realtor in good faith to represent us. It is the real estate agents’ job is to act in the client’s best interest. This was not the case. Mr. Work not only did not deliver on promises he also breached professional obligations to act in our best interest.
The condition of the 4-plex we purchased was misrepresented. Randy Work recommended the inspector. The items on the inspection were of concern, especially the roof. Randy Work stated multiple times that he previously owned a roofing company and that there were no concerns with the roof.
There were multiple repairs needed on the property. The previous owners of the 4 plex did not do any repairs, instead offered to lower the price by $1000. Mr. Work reassured us that it would be handled and repaired for that cost. It was not.
Randy Work offered to Property Manage for a few months to help us get established and encourage the sale of the property. There was no due diligence done on the building or tenants. The Police Department gave us tenant data that would have been a deciding factor NOT to purchase the property.
The number of erroneous misrepresentations from Mr. Work is unacceptable. The cost to repair this 4plex has exceeded $50,000.
The amount of time, energy and stress involved to get this investment functioning is intangible.
We trusted the professional advice and representation from Randy Work. The lack of concern from Redoubt Realty is unacceptable.
We have statements from multiple licensed contractors, pictures, emails and texts supporting our review.
