I have had the pleasure of working with Ray Engineering many times over the last five years. The experience each time has been excellent. They are professional, knowledgeable, and provide amazing services. They are a preferred vendor for reserve studies for my clients. The reports are comprehensive, easy to understand, provide clear recommendations and reference photos, and are a great financial tool for planned maintenance and long term budgeting. Similarly, their engineering reports have been very detailed and easy to understand. They are quick to respond and are always there when I need their support to assist with a client's needs. I had an unfortunate experience with Ray Engineering, Inc. After signing a contract, I made a good-faith payment of 50% of the total cost via check. The agreed-upon work involved an inspection followed by a corresponding report. However, during the on-site meeting with the engineer, it became evident that the inspection couldn't proceed, and we both left without completing any inspection or report.

Recognizing the legitimacy of compensating the contractor for travel time, despite the incomplete work, I reached out to the company, requesting a partial refund of my 50% down payment. This request was escalated to the president of the company, Mr. Ron Maggard, who declined to negotiate a partial refund. He asserted that an inspection occurred after I left the property, contrary to the fact that the engineer and I departed simultaneously. No evidence of an inspection or report has been provided.

As a result, I have opened cases with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the State Attorney General Offices of Florida and Georgia in an effort to recover part of my payment. While I appreciate hearing about positive experiences, I believe it's important to share my less-than-positive experience, which unfortunately persists.

They didn't see anything wrong with my bowed walls and floors and said a huge crack was die to a shelf that's been there at least 10 yrs.. I wouldn't have this company do anything structurally for me.
