We purchased a home in the Meadowview Estates in Atwater, CA approximately 2 years ago. The home is currently only 5 1/2 years old. We started seeing discoloration in our baseboards next to the primary shower, which was considered an upgrade when the home was built. We contacted our home warranty people as well as our home insurance people to inquire what they can do to keep the mold from growing. Both of them stated that it appeared to be a builders issue with the shower install, and they both suggested that we contact the builder given the age of the home. Before contacting the builder, we contacted a licensed shower builder to get an additional opinion. The bathroom contractor again stated that we need to contact the builder given the situation he was seeing in the shower. He mentioned that the water barrier may not have been installed correctly, therefore leading to water getting in to the lower walls.We contacted this builder (Ramson Piro), and they told us that the tile person no longer does business here and that they couldn’t do anything to rectify the situation. I was asked if I wanted a number to a different tile installer. All we were asking was if the builder would split the cost on correcting the issue, to which they washed their hands of the situation.

You have a choice when purchasing a home, please do your research on who built it, and not what color it is or if the grass is green. Anything can be built to be pretty, but a good company will stand behind their product. This home builder apparently will not.

The staff are unprofessional and the quality of their construction is not consistent. Do not trust their word in getting things done to fix something that they didn't do right in the first place. There are complaints around the neighborhood already about the company and the supervisor of the company as well.
When you purchase one of their homes, you'll also be playing lottery in getting a decent home without any defects. Also, if you refer a friend to buy their homes, their home sellers also do not live up to their word for providing an incentive when it comes to referring a friend and will reject any claim that you referred someone to purchase a home. Report them to the BBB if you can.
