I had the pleasure of working with Sheeja Nair on my kitchen remodel, and I couldn't be happier with the results! This review's been long overdue, I would say about 6 months as we completed our project in February. I guess we were so busy enjoying our lovely home that Raashi Design helped create!

We moved into our house in 2013 and since then had always wanted to update it - the color, furniture, artwork, drapery, the whole 9. But, given we're both working parents with a young child we never really found the time - to take our vision and really piece everything together. It does take a lot of time. That's when we decided to approach a few designers and talk to them about their process, review their past work and see if we could get comfortable having a professional 'take it over'.

We chose Raashi design (best decision ever) as we liked the approach. Sheeja took a lot of time understanding our needs, taste palette, budget and through iterations came up with the design that we fell in love with.

At that point, we had the option of taking the design (and pay just for consulting services - in which case execution is on us) or go full service. I am SO glad that we chose full-service. The amount of effort that goes into coordinating the various service providers, purchasing, inspecting, etc. is enormous. As an example, we have natural grass wallpaper in our entrance and that seemingly simple undertaking required close coordination between the person who smoothened the wall, the painter, the carpenter for the trim and the person applying the grass wallpaper! That's just one example, there are many more where I felt the full-service approach is the best route to go unless of course, you had ample time in your hands. This approach let us get involved in the fun parts of the project while leaving the mundane details in the hands of the expert. Also, another important aspect is she brings in the professionals from her network - people she has dealt with in the past and because these professionals rely on continued business from Raashi, they take the extra effort to ensure a high level of quality in their jobs.

Our project lasted for about 3-4 months and every step of the way Sheeja was a thorough professional and very pleasurable to work with. We love our space and couldn't have been happier! Thank you Sheeja & Raashi Design.

Working with Sheeja - We recently completed our home remodel project. We chose Rashi Design(Sheeja) as our interior designer after reviewing/interviewing many interior designers. Sheeja was very professional and understood our requirements very clearly. Sheeja’s process started with understanding what was important to us, how we wanted to feel our environment and how we wanted to use our space. She was very patient and a good listener. She didn’t get tired of coming up with many design ideas and also accommodated our change requests. She was very cognizant of our budget and offered recommendations that worked within the budget. We were delighted to see the design in her presentations and 3D drawings. After all the selections and installations, we were so happy and pleased to see the excellent outcome.

She designed our brand new kitchen, mini bar, fireplace, entry way, office room, patio and loft area. She helped with cabinet selection, made the entire space functionally useful, paint selection, countertop and backsplash, flooring for the entire house, pendant lights and chandelier. She has a fresh taste and inspiring design, which resulted in an experience that exceeds expectations.

She listened to our needs and ideas. She did a fantastic job putting all of the pieces together.

I would highly recommend her anytime! Sheeja’s energy and personality made the whole process so smooth.

We hired Raashi Design to come up with a decor for our whole home. During our initial discussion with Sheeja, we talked about how we wanted to blend contemporary and traditional elements into the design. Coming up with an interior design for 5+ rooms and the outdoor spaces was quite daunting with an overwhelming number of choices involved. Thankfully Sheeja and her team guided us through every step of the whole process. Every room feels like a work of art, striking the perfect balance between classic charm and modern elegance. My experience with Sheeja Nair of Raashi Design was wonderful, I cannot recommend her highly enough. This is the second remodeling project I worked on with Sheeja and this time we completely redid my kitchen and made upgrades throughout the house. My condo was at least thirty years out-of-date and was so run down it was depressing to live in. It is now beautiful, functional, and a wonderful place to live. I can’t believe how much we accomplished and how happy it makes me. Sheeja not only has the creative side of designing down, her attention to detail and ability to work with the contractor and other trades is outstanding. The contractor we worked with even remarked on how much he likes working with her. My place not only looks marvelous now there are so many functional details she saw to that I never even would have thought of but which I love. She did a lot of project management for me which made the whole job go very smoothly. And if there ever was a little hiccup or I got anxious about anything she always listened to me and soothed me while solving the problem. I would recommend Sheeja highly to anyone who is considering remodeling.
