Our firm hired Oscar to prepare plans for three properties. At first he seemed very attentive but then he ignored our calls, texts, and emails. After finally getting a hold of him, he told us he doesnt work for free which I explained to him, all he has to do is send an invoice. He sent invoices which we promptly paid the following day. A week or so later he was back to ignoring our request to see what he had produced thus far (what we paid for). He then told us all three were complete and going on to the engineer. After countless attempts to reach him, phone, text, and email he has not responed yet again. Not only are we out the valuable weeks spent delaying your projects but he basically took our $2,400 and ran. He is a theif and after further investigation he holds not license in architecture or drafting. Do not trust him!! Rest assured our attorneys will be getting involved!!!

We hired Oscar to design our new detached ADU. He was full of ideas when it came to the small space and landscaping. His plans were spot on and completed before his original estimated time which we were very great full for. Oscar was very honest and new his way around the City. I highly recommends him.

I hired oscar to do my plan for a ADU. Paid him $3,160.00 for he could start my plan. Took him a month to draw me a picture of wat my ADU was going to look like. Long story short it took him almost 4 months and still didn’t have any plan just drawing with pencil. So now i was and my contractor are trying to get updates on him. And now he don’t answer my calls. I’ll be posting the picture of his drawing.

Hired Oscar from PDC to do our homes second story addition plans and permits submittal. I was extremely satisfied with his work ethics and knowledge. I was impressed with his networking capabilities of getting the City to answer on quickly. He was always very helpful with any questions we had. He took care of all the revision requirements at a timely fashion. This was not our first rodeo Oscar knows stuff and we appreciated his flexibility. Thank you for all of your help. PDC design and drafting was recommended to me by a friend. Oscar came out for an estimate and was very helpful with ideas. His price was very reasonable and finished the design in a week. He took care of all of the city permits and were approved very quickly. We are so happy with our new design and will be hiring him again for our next project. As of June 4, 2020-October 8, 2020 I have accumulated a series of complaints against Oscar Gurrola (OG) of dba Pro Design Creations. Before even considering hiring Oscar Gurrola (OG), do not conduct your interview at your home. You should conduct thorough research regarding his knowledge, education, and work history as a draftsman which is overstated on Facebook, Google, and LinkedIn. Mr. OG plays a good part in presenting himself as knowledgeable and well versed in the industry. He deliberately avoided discussing important information such as not providing his business locations, business cards, and references upon requesting this information. The buyer should be aware that a low bid is a sign of incurring additional fees through a contract accumulating an excessive amount of fees that do not require additional costs, such as structural engineering which is based on City or County Codes.

Since working with Oscar he has never been on time. He has had constant cancellations with no disregard for my time. I genuinely regret not following my God's intuition of canceling the contract when I read the YELP reviews against him. I searched for a reputable person to be honest and have integrity and not tarnish the many components of the construction industry. Oscar manipulated me the entire time we worked together. He used a callback system to give me the impression that he was honorable in his work making me feel confident that he would do the job well to which he undoubtedly knew he would not follow through with. His contract requires a 65% down payment and his preferred form of payment is using Cash App which should be alarming in itself. After payment, it took him more than seven days to cash my check and I was not given any forewarning. However, he did mention that I may be receiving “ a call from the bank teller for verification,”---RED FLAG!.

Oscar Gurrola (OG) has given me floor plans, and three-dimensional versions with no actual construction being done. However, I have been working with Oscar since June of this year and his excuses should not have conflicted with his delays in making changes to an existing design, especially since at this time we had not submitted anything to Planning and Development or Building and Safety that inevitably caused a five-month delay. As mentioned before, there were DELAYS every step of the design; it was like pulling hairs to see changes. He continuously gave me the run around claiming he would give me feedback though it would fall into week after week without any answers. I chose to make changes to the floor plan, which I knew would cost me additional designer fees and I got an invoice, paid the invoice, and as he demonstrated before he did not return calls or provide the updated floor plans that had already been paid for. My final and last invoice was paid in full, yet I have had to leave countless messages, emails, and text messages to get the current status of the ADU's existing floor plan. I am still awaiting a call (November 9, 2020). I have given Oscar adequate time to receive my calls and respond to them.

To no avail, all efforts have become redundant. It has been concluded that Oscar Gurrola (OG) has abandoned the contract, scammed me out of thousands of dollars after we had signed the contract dating back to June 6, 2020. Nonetheless, this entire experience has been noted and I will be seeking legal action accordingly.

I have written this review, for people like myself to avoid being taken advantage of. However, it is your choice to decide how you want to take this complaint whether it is insightful or useless. I come with detailed proof!

I met Oscar back in the island of Roatan. I currently bought property in Miami Florida and had him design a second dwelling. He hired a local engineer here in Miami and coordinated what was necessary to get the design completed with all parties involved remotely including my GC (nice job really). He even hired a local expeditor to process our plans to the city for our permits.

DO NOT HIRE OSCAR!!!!!!! He took our money and never produced our plans. He will not return our calls, text or emails. Save yourself the stress and go with someone else!!!!
