As an experienced developer of multifamily and senior housing, my team and associated consultants would warn people about Pauli Engineering. Please request hourly billing records to accompany your invoice to see all charges incurred. A small but indictive example would be Pauli back-charging 1.5 hours or $240 to prepare his contract and edit it prior to execution as well as charging 181 hours or +$17,000 to complete a simple two-page elevation including 41.41 hours of travel time not contemplated in the contract. Lastly, we noticed that we were billed for 9 hours and several thousand dollars for phone conversations prior to any agreement or contract execution. Ie. we paid Pauli’s time when he was pitching his services. We replaced Pauli with a reputable architecture/engineering firm and completed the full permit set for $20k (for this minor work). Pauli would have been upwards of $75k-$100k at his rate despite providing only a $3,800 estimate in his contract. Be careful and request all hourly billing prior to making any payments
