If I could give 20 stars I would!! I was nervous with finding the right company to finish our basement. After multiple bids we chose to go with Pandem. And I so happy we did.

Everyone we worked with was absolutely amazing. Matt did our initial bid, he was so helpful and answered all questions. He had some amazing ideas that made better use of the space we were working with. He was kind, polite and took the time to really listen to what we wanted. We did not feel rushed or pressured to choose Panden to do our build. We did not feel that way with other companies that came to give us a bid. Thank you Matt, for your knowledge and insight and now to make our basement exactly how we wanted It.
Robyn, who we worked with for the finishing work is a rock star!! We needed our space to be ADA accessible, she went above and beyond to make sure everything we needed was in place. She did plenty of research on her own before our first appointment. And gave us many ideas to help make the space easier to move around in for someone with a walker or wheelchair. Her knowledge of design details is unmatched. Not to mention she is a pretty amazing person. She loves what she does which in return made our appointment fun. She was always available for any follow up questions or ideas we had.
Our project manager was Ivan. Again, top tier to work with. He communicated back quickly when we had questions or wanted an update. He came out to the job site often to make sure his crews were on schedule and doing quality work. He quickly took care of any hiccups that came up ( as they do with any construction job). He made sure that the work that was done was exactly what we wanted. Very polite and kind anytime we talked over the phone or via text. Such a nice guy.
If you are questioning if you should hire Panden to do your build. Take my word when I say there is no question. Hire them. They really do want their customers to be over the moon happy with the final results. They know the power of word of mouth, and the don’t take that lightly. I really can’t say enough positive things about the company.

We just completed our finished basement project with Panden Construction. Our basement turned out beautiful! The craftsmanship and attention to detail is amazing. Our project manager Jared went above and beyond to ensure we were content with the finished product. He helped us through out the entire process, communicated and put us at ease when small hiccups came up. Overall we had a great experience with the Panden team and the subcontractors they used. We will definitely be calling the Panden team for any construction needs in the future.

Roughly 11 months after signing with Panden to begin my basement finish it is completed and rented.

If everything goes smoothly, you can possibly anticipate finishing within their originally stated timeframe.

Overall it was a very rough experience where I felt like I was acting as the general contractor, superintendent, and project manager. Everything except doing the actual construction work. I was pushed to oversee just about every single trade to be done correctly.

I'm listing 2 of the worst offenders from my overall experience below. Feel free to reach out to me if you'd like me to detail out more. I'm more than happy to talk to anyone who is considering hiring a GC at this point - seeing as I basically am one now after dealing with Panden.

1. They seemed to have been working from the original Statement of Work rather than an updated one which had all of the change orders in place. They missed at least 5 change orders which they needed to do after the fact. Flooring in bedrooms, carpeted stairs, Resilient Channel, Stove Ventilation, and Walk-in closet cubby storage were all missed. I had to call these out - and I also had to ensure they were done correctly.

1a. Example - they sold me Resilient Channel (sound deafening) in my ceiling but the contractors fully installed the drywall without it. When I told them this they tried to convince me away from it. I pointed out that Resilient Channel was more performant than what they were recommending. They then installed the Resilient Channel incorrectly and had to fix it. I'm still unsure if it was fully installed correctly.

2. They utilized tradesmen who clearly were not experts in the type of work I actually needed.

2a. Example - Their electricians (not to mention their salesmen, superintendent, and project team) are not trained in solar / battery power residential systems and how they impact power delivery and needs. I had to reach out to a different electrician (on my own) who informed me Panden's plans were unnecessary - and likely would not get me what I needed. I would have paid for ~$15,000 in electrical work which wouldn't have addressed my actual use case and would have likely required the actual work that I needed as well.

These two issues were the tip of the iceberg in an 11 month long project nightmare. The reason why I chose to pay a "premium" by going with Panden - was because they sold themselves as being true professionals which would allow me to trust them to execute with excellence without me needing to be involved. This should have allowed me to be free from needing to be overseeing and QAing every single step of their progress.

If you're thinking that these two issues don't sound too bad - electrical was delayed ~1+ months due to us not being able to come to an agreement about what I needed. They designed and signed off on open drainage from water softener / heater which went into part of a closet rather than locating it where it would make sense. This drainage situation caused a leak to occur into the closet, soaking the studs and insulation. They misjudged the amount of cutting cement estimate by a large margin. They misjudged the amount of flooring I would need, causing me to need to re-order - twice. They left windows and my doors leading out of the house open too many times to count. They came up and through my interior doors multiple times. They installed the exterior door without having a door handle or deadbolt and left for a whole weekend, leaving me to install it on my own. The drywall delivery guys had a cart completely filled with drywall fall over onto my stair railing. It just kept getting worse.

My recommendation would be to think very carefully about who you choose to hire for your construction project. If you do choose to go forward with Panden - be prepared to act as your own advocate and ensure that every stage is done up to your own quality standard. They sell themselves as delivering a product where you will get to sit back and enjoy them handling everything. And from my perspective - this was not the case at all.

We loved having Panden home finish our basement! They did a great job and our project manager Jared went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our results! We have been loving having movie nights and extra space for guests to come and stay. Our basement is beautiful!

I can't thank the Dan and the Panden team enough for their quality work on our basement. I really liked that they used an app to help keep communication and updates easy for me as they made progress on our home. Great company and team to work with. (My 'after' picture is before we furnished it.)

Panden has been great to work with. After our initial meeting, we were considering other options for our project. Danny helped us modify our vision and helped ensure that we could stay within our budget.

Once we had the plan laid out Ivan was assigned to be our project manager. Ivan and his team were wonderful to work with. They were efficient and kept us updated on the progress. Overall, we have had a wonderful experience With the team and would recommend them to others.

Our experience with Panden had its highs and lows. While we are mostly happy with the final product, the project overall required significant oversight from us as homeowners, and there were multiple challenges along the way.

We paid for a premium experience but do not feel we got what we paid for. It was honestly pretty stressful.

The employees at Panden are all very friendly and responsive so its nothing personal. But for some reason, communication was just not happening. We had to consistently reach out to get issues fixed or done the way we had ordered.

EDIT: Panden reached out to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction. This was much appreciated.
