My wife and I recently moved from Tennessee to San Diego and have had an absolutely wonderful experience with The Palisade UTC apartments. From the initial inquiry, leasing managers Alberto and Kaela were incredibly responsive to our emails and questions.

Alberto was incredibly patient when we flew out for an in-person tour, even though we arrived late in the afternoon, he never made us feel rushed.

Kaela ensured a smooth move-in day, and Cameron at the front desk is always super helpful. The Assistant Manager, Bella has gone above and beyond to make sure we're settled in and enjoying our new home.

The community itself is meticulously maintained and cleaned by a kind and professional staff, and we always feel secure and safe, especially with the nighttime security on site. They are also welcoming and accommodating of our large breed dog and have several community activities to participate in.

The amenities, including the amazing pool and activities area w/ hot tub and the well-equipped fitness center, are unmatched in the area.

We had a couple of minor maintenance issues upon move-in, but Ben and Terry on the maintenance team addressed them quicky and followed up to verify resolution.

The location is also fantastic, with easy access to freeways, buses, train and the UTC mall. We highly recommend The Palisade to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-maintained community.

Palisade is one of the most beautiful buildings I have seen. The resort style pool is exactly that. It has tons of cabanas and a hot tub with a waterfall I've never seen that. The rooftop is stunning especially during sunset.

I have lived at Palisade for a while now, and I can confidently say that the leasing office team continues to make this community a great place to call home. Bella, Keyla and Manager Angela have been consistently kind, professional, and always willing to help. Any time I’ve had an issue, they’ve addressed it quickly and efficiently, making sure everything gets resolved.
Their dedication to improving the living experience here is evident, as each year, the community only gets better. It’s refreshing to see a team that genuinely cares about residents and works hard to maintain a welcoming and well-managed environment. I truly appreciate their efforts and highly recommend Palisade to anyone looking for a great place to live.

I love this building and it's staff! The office staff is friendly and very responsive. The maintenance team is also always friendly, super prompt, and issues are addressed quickly. Yes, the rent is high, but it's San Diego!! The building is gorgeous, the views are incredible, and the amenities are off the charts! Living here is well worth the cost for sure.

I see some negative reviews regarding trash chute being closed, or elevators not being available... Well, when people shove things like Christmas trees down the chute it's going to have consequences. There are FOUR elevators and rarely 1 is down due to the other residents holding them.

I've lived in other high rises before this one, and I can tell you, people are going to people so things get abused, but in this building they get taken care of. Not only are they taken care of, it's done quickly and the staff is always very gracious. I appreciate the entire Palisades team!

Living at Palisade Apartments has been an absolute pleasure. From the moment I moved in, I felt welcomed and taken care of, thanks to the incredible team here. The community is well-maintained, the amenities are fantastic, and the atmosphere is peaceful and inviting.

I especially want to highlight Bella—she is truly a gem! Bella goes above and beyond to make residents feel at home. She is incredibly kind, thoughtful, and always willing to help with a warm smile. Whether it’s answering questions, resolving concerns, or just brightening your day with her positive energy, she does it all with such grace and care.

I toured the community with Isabelle. The place and units are beautifully and aesthetically well designed and the amenities are amazing, over-exceeding my expectations. It’s basically everything anyone could ask for. The location is a gem, very walkable to UTC and on the top floor you can see the ocean. Isabelle was very professional, friendly and welcoming. She was so helpful in answering all my questions and concerns.

Palisade Has the Worst Management – Unprofessional, Uncaring, and Incompetent
I have never dealt with such an unprofessional and neglectful management team. They operate like machines—cold, uncaring, and completely selfish. Here are just a few examples of their incompetence:

1️⃣ Severe Leak & Mold Growth Ignored for Half a Year – Then They Charged Us for It
Our unit experienced a leak, which we promptly reported to maintenance. The maintenance person inspected the issue, took photos, and assured us they would report it to management. Months passed—no updates, no repairs. Meanwhile, mold and other issues started developing due to their inaction. Finally, after about half a year, they sent someone to fix it, yet even then, they failed to do everything they promised. They told us they would fix everything and instructed us to vacate our belongings, but in the end, they didn’t follow through. And when we tried to contact them? Ignored.

To make matters worse, instead of taking responsibility, they placed the financial burden entirely on us, charging a ridiculously high fee for THEIR negligence.

2⃣️Garage Leak Damaging Vehicles – Their Solution? ‘Just Get a Car Detail’

This morning, we reported a leak in the garage that was actively damaging vehicles. Their response?

"Just park in the same spot, the leak should get better."
They even threatened to tow our car if we parked elsewhere.
Instead of offering a temporary alternative or prioritizing a fix, they brushed it off like it wasn’t their problem. The simplest solution would have been to offer us a temporary parking space while addressing the issue. But, of course, that’s too much effort for Palisade.

To make matters worse, they casually suggested we get a detailing job or contact our insurance, as if that would magically fix the damage caused by their negligence. This is a $120,000 vehicle, and the damage to the paint is significant. Yet they remain completely indifferent.

The funniest (and most infuriating) part? They forced us to park in the same spot, almost as if they wanted the leak to continue damaging the vehicle. They even promised to call us back within 10 minutes to discuss the issue, but no one ever followed up. Honestly, if they had contacted us, we’d have been shocked—it’s that rare.

By the end of the day, the leak continued, with no sign of any attempt to fix it. Because all repair shops were closed, we were forced to try fixing it ourselves to prevent the damage from getting even worse. Despite spending hours on it, we couldn’t salvage the situation. Thanks to Palisade’s mismanagement, we’ll now have to send the car to a shop for repairs. How absurd is that?

3️⃣ Bogus Fees & False Accusations
To make things worse, right after all this, they sent an email falsely claiming we never accepted their lease request—when we never received your “so called notification”. Now, they’re attempting to charge us an extra fee due to their own mismanagement. Excuse us?! Maybe if they actually did their job, we wouldn’t have to deal with this nonsense. And to be clear, this is on the same day when we reported the leak, they choose to ignore the leak and just try to find other ways to go after you. So ridiculous.

🚨 BOTTOM LINE: AVOID PALISADE AT ALL COSTS.
This management team does not care about their residents. They ignore serious maintenance issues, refuse to take responsibility, and then try to nickel-and-dime tenants for their own incompetence. The bare minimum they could have done was provide a temporary parking solution and properly handle repairs. Instead, they choose to gaslight and brush off real concerns.

By the way, we’ve lived here for over five years, and this is how they treat you. It’s clear they don’t value their tenants at all. Palisade, this is exactly how you lose residents.

If you value professionalism, responsiveness, and basic respect as a tenant, STAY FAR AWAY FROM PALISADE.

Had a tour at Palisade today, building looks nice and Albert did a great job showing us all the units and amenities, the location is very close to Westfield, convenient for guys who need city life than SFH.
