I called to inquire about a house and encountered Jennifer, who was extremely rude and disrespectful. Without any reason, she was immediately hostile during our first interaction. If you talk to Jennifer pray first.

Please avoid this place if you’re brown and want a fair appraisal. Not sure if Morris Hodges still works for them but he’s not personable, in fact dry! Comped our home with older homes in the area that weren’t even a close comparison because we have brand new, full basement and they were older, smaller homes without basements…wtf! Also, will photo areas you specifically ask him not to in which he agreed. There was a corner of my huge bedroom I asked him not to photograph and he agreed. There was plenty of bedroom for him to photograph. Get report back and of my huge bedroom that was the corner he photographed…so he’s a liar as well! Also, the pictures were super weird for an appraisal…he was snapping areas that I felt were not necessary and the report instead of looking like an appraisal was looking like he was intending to list our home on a real estate site. Please search another company if you’re brown…it’s proven by statistics that across the country we are having to have our white friends sit in at our homes just to receive a fair assessment of its value and that’s ridiculous. We will be getting another appraisal for sure! He’s now offering appraisals through his own business Morris HODGES APPRAISALS (Bessemer) as well!
