These guys did a great job with my house, a little before and after of the property, it was affordable and they communicated well about timelines and expectations, any concerns I had before during or after the work were all addressed in a timely and respectful manner. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone for landscaping.

We hired this company to finish our yard. It was mostly still dirt with an existing patio but we had successfully planted and propagated several type of cacti and bougainvillea with an above group drip system we put together.

Our initial meeting we covered what we wanted and why. We wanted a second patio with a path, gravel where our dogs could hang out and go to the bathroom and where we could play bocce ball, and to finish the landscaping we started. We asked to include a saguaro. Oscar estimated about $10k. The contract ended up being closer to $18k before we adjusted it. Not sure how he could be that off base.

There ended up being a problem with every element of the job.

1. The saguaro they planted was clearly rotting as soon as it arrived. There is also lots of debris (feathers, trash) still stuck to it that they didn’t bother to remove. I am still not convinced this came from a reputable nursery. Oscar insisted the color will improve, however it has gone from yellow to brown all the way up to the top. All they were willing to do was offer a 1 year warranty so we are essentially spending a year of our lives watching this cactus slowly die.

2. The curb, patio and walkway all have significant cracks. They stated it was because of the heat causing it to cure faster than expected. The house being built next door to us had its concrete driveway poured the same week and it’s perfect. They removed chunks of the cracked curb and replaced it, but sealed it with a weird off white color that doesn’t even match the rest of it. The curb is “warbly” with very obvious variations in height, trajectory and angle. There are sections of the patio and walkway that are very sloppily done and not smooth. It truly looks like a DIY project.

3. After asking to see what Mohawk brown gravel is after seeing it in the contract, we didn’t get an answer until it was essrntially time to lay it. We received zoomed out picture with nothing else in the picture to give a sense of scale. I reminded him we asked for gravel matching our front yard. He stated we could use a grey instead. He then retracted that statement saying there wasn’t enough for the project and it would be more than what was budgeted for. We begrudgingly agreed to use MB, believing the color was the only difference. When it was laid we realized how problematic it is. It’s large, jagged rocks with sharp edges that our dogs can’t walk on. They are exclusively walking on the curb and patios. This graveled space was primarily meant to be “their space” so it’s disappointing that we paid for this yard for it to be only partially functional.

4. Throughout the weeks they worked, they knocked off 5 paddles from 3 of my established cacti and one very large branch of one bougainvillea.

5. Almost every day they used our hose they neglected to turn it off, and were rough enough with it that it began leaking resulting in it pooling water while we were at work. One of my cacti is already half dead because of it. I asked if they could please turn it off at the end of their day and they did, but left it on again on their final day.

6. Our below ground system worked perfectly well for almost a year but he convinced us to install a below ground system. They forgot to run lines to two of the bougainvillea. They are in bad shape having gone weeks without water.

There is an entire wall where water is perpetually being emitted and they are either unable or unwilling to figure out why. One of my established cacti is now completely rotted and slimy. Every morning, it’s flooded even though it’s set to run twice a week. It still runs even when we turn off the system completely.
The constant water is staining the curb.

7. They planted random plants we didn’t want. They planted them spaced haphazardly. I dug up one entire wall myself and replaced the plants with what we asked for.

8. We had to correct them three times on where we wanted the patio, and they went as far as blocking off the wrong area before they listened.

We are having a contractor inspector evaluate the irrigation problem.

On time, every day, no problem. The crew was very professional and worked with us throughout the project. Will definitely hire them on any future projects. We will not hesitate to recommend OSC to others. They well deserve a 5 Star rating.

My father got his front yard done about 3 months ago and it turned out beautiful! The workers were on time and respectful…HOWEVER…the company does not think about their projects lasting! Here we are a mere three months later and there seems to be more weeds in the yard than there are rocks. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO LAST FOR MORE THAN A FEW MONTHS!! I would highly recommend going to their more budget friendly competition as they seem to actually use high quality products such as actual weed barrier!! Plus when they installed everything, they cracked one of the main pipes to the house which resulted in an old faithful looking geyser, that had to get repaired by a plumber and then fight to get the money back for the damages caused by this company.
P. S. They don’t seem to care about doing people wrong and taking their money!!

EDITED TO ADD ALMOST A YEAR LATER:
And I guess the guarantee they have in the many pages of their contract is also not true 🙁 here we are a year later and my parents had to employ a different company cause all these guys were willing to do to hold up their end of the guaranteed work was drop off 3 bags of weed killer for my parents who are in their 70s to go walk through the rock garden and spray themselves. Again this choice to put a rock garden in was supposed to make things easier for them, not harder. At this point the lawn would have been easier work and they would still have the thousands of dollars they spent on these guys in their retirement fund.
The lack of integrity is quite frankly appalling to see. But your welcome for the money my parents handed to you without getting their worth for it. Oh and did I mention the fact that my parents bought and paid for more rocks then they needed, but instead of reimbursing my parents for unused material, he has his crew of one come and take it quickly so my dad couldn’t put two and two together until it was too late! All I’ve seen this company do is take advantage of seniors….

100% recommend them! They installed a wire fence in our front yard, we wanted to separate our yard from the neighbors due to some issues. The fence is exactly what we wanted! They communicated everything and responded well and in a timely manner. We will be reaching out for another project that we have plan. Here’s a picture of the fence they installed, just ignore the bare yard, it’s a work in progress.

Oscar, the owner has been out to my house twice for estimates. The first time he was pleasant. He was the runner up to do my backyard landscaping. AAP Landscaping ended up doing the job for $10,000 less. AAP did a great job.

Then for the most recent estimate, Oscar scheduled an appt for Monday then canceled 90 minutes prior after I already took off work. Oscar then came out the next day for a minor repair estimate for my irrigation system in the front yard. He said "this is a quick and easy job". His attitude in person was friendly. He then gave me the estimate the next day after he said it would be done as soon as he got home. Which is fine I don't care. After receiving his estimate, I told him that I thought the price was way too high for such an easy job. Oscar then became extremely rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend using him and you will definitely find a better landscaper elsewhere. Highly recommend NOT going to OSC landscaping for any of your needs.

We needed to add new rocks and plants to our front and back yard, and OSC did a great job. Oscar helped me decide what plants I needed, which was a big help!

The job was done 7 months ago at one of the hottest week in July. The guys who did the job were very professional and did a great job. However, a few of the plants did not make it due to the heat. We decided to wait till the weather cooled down to have them replaced.

They reached out to me, and I had them come back in November. Not only did they replace the plants that needed to be replaced, thy checked the sprinkler system, checked all the plants they had planted, but also raked the rocks through out the front and back yard and left the yard looking beautiful at no extra cost!!

I highly recommend OSC!
