Oakwood Construction was wonderful to work with! They handled every aspect of the reconstruction needed in our home after a leak, as well as interacting and updating our insurance company. The reconstruction is of the highest quality and they completed the job with overseeing rug and air duct cleaning as well. Rating the Water Mitigation team: Had a great experience with the water mitigation team. Edwin and Javier were respectful of our home and kept the area very clean. They definitely were top notch. They used ever tarp to keep our home clean from dust and mess. The next step where David Vasquez got involved is we’re it all went down hill. He never came to our home. His inability to return calls and communicate the steps and options is were we decided not to continue with Oakwood. I don’t agree with $1000 deposit when no services have been provided. It’s a charge just to set up the account. David did a poor job explaining the steps.

Update: Spoke to Todd the Owner and President to discuss our experience and my review. I unfortunately didn’t speak to him while we experienced our issues. I believe it would have ended up completely positive IF I had spoken to him prior to choosing another contractor. I was pleased to have a positive conversation with Todd.

Had Belford Restoration out through a company called Oakwood’s construction. They did horrible work. With replacing of no drywall no insulation was used behind the drywall areas that were on exterior walls. The trim was not match correctly. Terrible pick of trim. Not satisfied one bit. The texture by there employee Louis looked like it was he’s first day of the job. They left for half the day every day for Home Depot runs and then lunch on top of that. Then I come down and Louis had some semi gloss paint on top of flat. This project has been a nightmare with this company. I would highly recommend choosing another restoration company. The owner was completely disrespectful to me. Acted like her company was the best company out there. Wouldn’t even listen to me about her employee. Poor management and ethics unfortunately I believe the estimator AJ could’ve did maybe a better job when he came out to set up his crew better but this looks like it’s a snowball effect with this company.

I was impressed by the professionalism of John, Jesus, Marie and Edith. They were all very helpful and thoughtful, and John knew exactly how to correctly handle each of my items. The team was very fast, careful and communicative throughout the entire process.
When John and the team returned our belongings, I was very impressed with how quickly and carefully our items were returned to their original locations. They even had some great ideas for reorganizing some things in better locations. Overall, our garage actually ended up looking better and tidier after they were finished with the job. What a team!

I also need to express how great it was to work with the team that restored the damaged portions of our house (from water intrusion). Nelson, Juan and Pedro were amazing to work with! They were all extremely friendly, courteous, hard-working and professional with the work that they completed. This restoration team was top notch in my book, and they seemed to all be at the top of their game as far as skills, knowledge and competency. Highly recommended!

There was lack of communication with Amy regarding the work we needed on our house.
They completed the water damage part (removed sheet rock, insulation and sprayed for mold and dried it out) but when it comes to finishing the job we found out that they won’t come back to complete it because of the distance/drive (we live in Big Bear) so we are left to now find someone that will install the insulation, sheet rock, paint and put trim back up.
Amy was totally aware and of the work that needed to be done and never once hinted that they could not do the whole job.
We used them in 2019 for water damage we had and we were extremely happy with them. This is why we used them again after damage from TS Hilary.
I am being generous when I give two stars only because the workers that came to our house were very professional.

Oakwood was hired by my insurance company for water mitigation emergency services for my house. They were quick to respond. Diana was great with communicating every step of the process, and Jason and his team were professional and courteous. They were prompt, kept the work area as clean as possible, and the job was well done.

? From day 1 every person I spoke with on the phone or in person were exceptionally kind & helpfull. My home had water damage & OAKWOOD did the demolition that was necessary. The entire home needed to be stored away while the reconstruction was taking place. ? Oakwood staff: Marie, Perla, Ricardo, Jose, Christian & Edwin packed ALL my belongs & then returned them to where they belong! I highly recommend this company. Thank You for a JOB WELL DONE❗
