I was introduced to Tom and team via a friend who had hired Norris Architects to design their home in LA. I interviewed Tom to find out if the team could overcome the space limitations without compromising on the size of the rooms as I was converting a 500sqft garage to an ADU. I was impressed by their design that incorporated all my needs and applied strategies to enhance the feel. This included a few versions of concepts and we finally settled on one with 2bed/1bath Jack n Jill type with open double sink vanity and space for combo washer/dryer! Richard in particular has been extremely helpful, understanding and forthcoming with various asks from the city and of the inspector.

I engaged them again for a second project and it has been a pleasure working with the team. They are professional, economical and prompt in their responses.

I hired them and they kept delaying everything, it was over two years of time altogether, I tried being patient and then they ultimately decided they would no longer be my architects, but have also not refunded any of the money I paid.

Awful. Would not recommend. Would give zero stars if I could. They are absolutely unprofessional. We engaged them for a commercial build out. They promised 4 weeks to city permitting. Come 4 weeks they completely AWOL-ed. We have different parties following up but calls went unanswered and emails ignored. They finally responded a week later, and said it would take 2 more weeks. No explanations, no apologies. That 2 weeks is now up, and no one is able to get a hold of them again. Our time line has been significantly pushed back. Who knows when they will complete what they promised. No sense of urgency and we are completely at the mercy of their whims. This experience has been incredibly frustrating.

Mr. Norris designed a entire rebuild on our house that had significant fire damage . Not only was he very reasonable but his charter integrity and reliability is something that you rarely find now days.. I highly recommend him for any project big or small.
