I have never worked with such a great team. From dirt work, excavation, boring water, gas, power, and communication lines across my yard about 150 ft with no lawn damage. I had at least one person out here from every one of their crews and each one of them were great!! Getting my crazy back yard to grade to pour concrete was no easy job, but they worked and worked on it until it was perfect!!! Communicated when they were coming and going to make sure I knew when I could let my dogs and kids out to play in the back yard. They never left gates open, always picked up after themselves. I highly recommend Newman for any job you might need!!

In my opinion, They spread construction material like nails out where they’re doing construction and if you drive on them and get nails in three of your tires they’ll just tell you it’s a road hazard and it’s not their problem. Be careful around their construction sights!

This company has been intermittently preventing access to my mailbox, trash pickup, and driveway for 3 weeks now. They parked a backhoe in front of the house all weekend so we can't see westbound traffic, and eastbound traffic is obscured by piles of gravel. They create a public safety hazard and then "thank" me for my patience.

Do you ever automatically discredit a company based on how their employees treat people?

I've been trying to pay more attention to my actions, both within my home and professional life. I recognize that the two paths cross more than I had expected. In noticing this for myself, I have started to watch others as well to see what I can learn.

If you operate a company vehicle, with the name of your employer on it, please show respect in all your actions. This truck was driving fairly recklessly while headed south on Redwood Road the other day. Now, I'm not sure if he was having a bad day, or was in a rush, but I don't believe either of those to be acceptable excuses as to why he felt it necessary to place others in danger.

To the driver - please use a blinker, please check for/leave space prior to a lane change, please slow down, please have some consideration for the rest of us - we're all trying to get home too! If you can add these traits to your driving characteristics, hopefully the consideration and respect for others, will be developed in the rest of your endeavors as an employee and a person.

This company came to my neighborhood to do work at 8pm at night and kept their truck running an extremely loud hum/vacuum sound for almost 40 minutes straight! Why couldn't they do their work during the day instead of when folks are winding down for bed?!

Newman is working on a water line project in Orem. A rock from their project hit my house breaking a window. Because they claim they weren’t working, on a Monday, they refuse to take responsibility. Based on the other reviews here and elsewhere, their public relations could use some help at a minimum. I’m not impressed.

A Utah based family owned business for the last 80 yrs. Enuf said!!! My hard earned money will be spent on locals and there businesses. Only a liberal snow flake goes to the big chain companies to do there business.
KEEP IT LOCAL EVEN WHEN IT COSTS A LITTLE MORE. SHOPPING LOCALLY GIVES THESE FAMILY OWNED COMPANIES THE ABILITY TO SURVIVE.

Shoddy pathetic work. Contractor for 2nd water system meters in park-strips of neighborhood & left a mess! I'm in a long line of complaints here, but they installed the meter & left gaping hole more than a foot deep w/ my sod just thrown back over. I pulled up sod to find another gap, below that. In the bottom of that hole, was what was left of my sprinkler. Took an afternoon of repairs & 30 gallons of dirt to restore back to grade.
You'd think w/ all the dirt displaced (& hauled away) for meter assemblies, they could at least leave enough dirt to refill & NOT tear up sprinklers, (since that's what they were paid to do)! Whoever hired these clowns... the water district/Riverton City should inspect this garbage work Newman is doing, & get rid of them. Ridiculous!
