I recently hired them to fix my giant second story deck that was falling apart. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Gabe the owner is awesome. The bid was reasonable and the workmanship was excellent. They were prompt , clean and did great work! My deck looks great and is now safe and sturdy. I highly recommend National Development Group!

Gabriel Gomez does not understand how to communicate. I had several conversations with him (as did my partner) about improving his skills and he finally offered weekly video conferences and/or phone calls to update us on the progress of the kitchen remodel; neither the video conferences or the calls ocurred. Gabriel ignored the project for months and pulled the PM off my site to send him to work on an ADU. We lived from mid September until late November without a call or any work completed. Finally, in late November (6 weeks after I texted that I was having surgery on December 3 and needed ALL work completed beforehand) Gabriel sent his PM and a new hire.

The new hire turned out to be on parole and he burgled our home (all is on video). Gabriel swore he vetted all his employees, but clearly not. The matter is now in the hands of the Ventura Police Department and Ventura County District Attorney. As of this writing, Gabriel Gomez is unwilling to compensate us for the stolen items and billed us for the hours the thief worked as he stole.

Do not waste your time.

We were not satisfied with our recent experience with Gabriel and Diego.

Diego was sent to install flooring in my bathroom after restoration. He removed leveler in an uneven area in my old flooring and failed to install new leveler before installing new flooring. Consequently there was lifting in some of the planks. I had to call them to come back and do some of the job over because I wasn't satisfied.

Gabriel yelled at me for “messing with his scheduling” by asking them to come back to level my floor. Not sure why leveling was skipped in the first place. They knew my floor was uneven and I am not sure why they didn't problem solve before hand.

As you can see in the pictures I've attached there was something in the corner of my flooring near the tub which leveled out the floor. As you can also see in the picture with the new flooring installed, there is no leveler in that area. Doesn't make sense to me that flooring would be installed without leveling sub-flooring first.

I worked with NDG to build a retaining wall and to get plans for an ADU drawn up and approved by the city. I was in a tricky spot where ADU regulations were unclear for my area due to fire risk and Gabriel was the only contractor who was willing to take the time to listen to my predicament and find a solution.

Throughout the process Gabriel was great at communicating, honest, and incredibly responsive.
