I had a half-hour call with them to gather a quote for a geotechnical study. Their pricing is definitely on the high side, and they planned to charge an hourly rate to review the plan my designer or civil engineer drafts based on their soil report—which doesn’t make sense. Other firms we’ve spoken with include this as part of their service and don’t charge clients hourly for it.

Furthermore, when I declined to share the names of the other firms I’m considering, they completely lost interest in bidding and refused to provide the formal estimate they initially promised. It’s clear they’re more focused on maximizing profits than demonstrating the engineering mindset I’d value.

They charge for every minute of time...1k for a letter and follow up visits that are not needed....just to charge with no benefit to the consumer. They lie about timelines and hold u hostage to their pay schedule.
