I hired Miller's Green Gardening (aka Miller's Landscaping) back in March. I had them seed my backyard, and even though I had most of the sprinkler lines already, they had to add another line and put heads on what I had. Jose, the "foreman," seemed to know what he was doing. He had to add 2 valves to my existing set to handle the lawn area, but he didn't want to discuss wiring them to my timer, and instead put in 2 battery operated ones (ugh!). Within 2 - 3 weeks, we had flooding in part of the yard. Jose came out several times between April and June to inspect it, but each time insisted that it was water accumulation due to the slope of my yard (it's flat, by the way). Several areas in the yard did not sprout, so he had to reseed a couple of times. When it finally came in (about 3 months time), it was beautiful, but I had this massive amount of water pooling up. I called and left messages from July til August, explaining my problem and asking that Jose come back, but they never returned my phone calls. I finally called a professional 2 1/2 weeks ago, and he was amazing! He fixed everything, and it turned out that the 2 valves that Miller's installed were actually broken and there was water constantly pouring into my yard! I called Miller's and they still weren't returning my calls, or my husband's. He finally got a hold of Beth, one of the owners, and by the time I spoke with her, she offered me a refund of $300 for the broken valves. However, she then had Jose call me back the next day and he refused to refund me as he was now unable to verify that the valves were broken. He said that I should have called them to diagnose the problem (hilarious, right?). When I informed him that I had so much water in my yard that mosquito larvae were swimming in it, he told me that I'm crazy. Nice, huh? I mean, now I'm crazy, after all of this!!!! Jose also argued with me back in May about a broken sprinkler head that he had installed, claiming that it was my water pressure that was causing the problem. I pleaded with him to change it (with a head that I furnished), and lo and behold, it's been fine since then! To say that my water bill has been astronomical is an understatement. I may have single-handedly put us back in a drought (not really my fault though.....). My yard is now dry (well, the proper amount), but unfortunately, due to the extensive amount of water in my yard for several months, and the vast area that it covered, I now have undulations from walking in that area. The rest of my yard has high and low spots from when Jose "leveled" it prior to seeding. But this area where the water continuously ran is the worst, of course. Oh, and the sprinkler guy who came and fixed everything? He installed new valves and everything is wired to the timer now! Amazing!!!!
After reading the libelous and disparaging remarks from the owner of the business (who, it seems, could use a dictionary), I decided to respond.Given the fact that your company failed to do a proper job to begin with, and my last contact was 4 1/2 months ago, I don't see how you can expect to be taken seriously in your attempted smear tactics. You have made no attempt to contact me personally, and there was never any effort from you or anyone other than Jose, your "foreman," to witness firsthand the destruction that was done to my yard from the faulty valves that he installed. The damage, sir, was not due to my preexisting valves; it was a direct result of the 2 valves that Jose installed that failed in their backflows, which then flooded my yard.Check out my Yelp review and pictures!
The owner has changed the name of the business on Yelp to "Green Gardening Service," and has recently removed all of his attacking comments about me, and is now asking me to "call" him so that they can address my concerns. This is now 6 1/2 months after my last contact with his company, and 3 months after his online assault against his customer!
