Proceed with caution…Out of state visitors are not welcome at Maricopa County parks. We encountered three issues during our stay at Lake Pleasant:
- local homeless encampments were all over
- one of the local drug addicts stole our power cord, water lines, and water filter overnight
- staff were rude and seemed to dislike out of state individuals

To top it all off, when asked for a full refund…they only refunded $100 out of a $450 reservation fee. We did get it sorted, but the whole experience seemed sketchy.

There are much better places to stay in the area. Best of luck in your adventures friends!

A great place for bird watching and learning about native plants. There are so many interesting birds to watch. Do not forget to bring binoculars with you if you enjoy bird watching.

The ticket is $5 per adult and free for children aged 12 and under.

Disappointing they do not offer active duty military discount on an annual pass. Limits what our family can afford to do, especially with Base being next to the White Tanks.

Lake Pleasant. Wonderful park. Nice, level lots with good views. HOWEVER!!!!!! When we called about reservations on 01/02/2020, TAMMY, on the other end of the phone was so obnoxious and RUDE to my wife, we decided not to go. Do something about your staff and show a little courtesy or find some other work.

My friend and I were lied to multiple times by a female employee disrespectfully raising her voice at me saying the lake was closed when we saw people inside. Was told the same thing by another employee at another entrance. Finally, the last entrance we tried, we were let inside and this employee apologized for the others’ actions. Female employees were extremely rude and gave false info. should be terminated.

Nice lake run by the rudest staff encountered in 40+ years of camping and managing campgrounds. This was a one time visit. I will never subject myself to such horrible people again. Not worth being harassed, yelled at or disrespected.
