Working (mostly) with Chris was such a pleasure: he listens carefully and has an artful pragmatism that bends toward beauty. We built a barn, a house for entertaining and remodeled an existing farmhouse- all tied together through material choices that make for a welcoming, cohesive, but not "matchy," whole. The result is lovely, organic and absolutely functional. As an added bonus, Chris and Mary have become friends in the process, a sure sign of a project done well!

MAD is quite possibly the best architecture firm in the entire multi-county north bay. While I was CEO of Traditional Medicinals, MAD (let by Mary) designed a 25,000 square foot stellar office at SOMO for us. The space had been empty for 18 years and was a complete wreck with nothing but a cement floor and four walls. Her vision for the lobby, the conference rooms, kitchen, and work spaces was beyond anything we imagined. Our employees absolutely love working in that space.
