The houses are nice and big. We have been here 3 years and never experienced children vandalizing (so I’m not sure what that other post was about). Housing has a HIGH turnover rate. We have been through MANY rounds of maintenance and housing staff. I’m not sure why. I know it families that had issues getting their AC fixed but we have never encountered it. I wish housing was divided by rank. Nothing like having an E3 come drunk and blaring music with friends at 11pm while the older people with kids are trying to sleep. I do feel like there should be better accommodations for living In the middle of nowhere with nothing around.

We have been here almost a year and a half and overall, it’s a very nice community with an amazing staff at the housing office. The turnover of personnel in the leasing office is concerning but at least they get very knowledgeable staff to replace the outgoing personnel. The numerical value for what you get here makes sense for my family and I to stay however, although we like living here, additional increases will unfortunately price us out.

Homes are okay. I just moved in July of this year and housing staff is extremely difficult to get in contact with. Their office is closed due to COVID but they do not respond at all to email. Just do get the most basic information is like pulling teeth. They do not have an automated system to pay rent, which is incredibly odd in 2020. My lease is only for a year and I will not be renewing. Also! Both myself and my husband are federal employees so we aren’t able to use the gym as advertised on their website and there aren’t any additional accommodations on base that would make paying the amount of rent we pay reasonable. Wouldn’t recommend.

Customer service is great. Anytime I have a problem with anything about my home gets fixed in a reasonable time. My only complaint is the lighting in the neighborhood. It's extremely dark, even with the streetlights on. It's as if they chose the cheapest quality of lightbulbs for the street lamps. Also the mailboxes are not illuminated at all. I've had to bring my own tactical flashlight just to check the mail at night.

This is the last place I would ever want to live again as military member. The houses where not up to par with the amount I was paying each month. (It would be cheaper to live an hour away and more convenient for my family. The maintenance on the houses was trash. It took them almost a full year to get the A/C & heater fixed. The other residence of the community had kids that were very disrespectful; trashed/vandalized the playgrounds, knocked over trash-cans, and teased my dogs.

Wouldn't even live here If the apocalypse came and it was the last safe place

I've always enjoyed my experiences in housing no matter where it was.
My only problem (if I want to be nitpicky) is that the dishwashers are always kind of ineffective. All of the staff have always been very helpful.

After 4 1/2 years here, we have been thru the really good and really bad. The past few months have seen efforts to climb back to the really good with more hill to climb. Hoping this current staff keeps up the efforts to get to the top of the hill.

Great home and community. This is my second time here at Indian head and I must say that it has gotten better with all accommodations. My family and I are thrilled to be back on base and to have the security of knowing we are safe in the community.
