Do you know your neighbors? Do you wish you did? Maybe co-housing is for you. We are an intentional community--people who want to know each other! Our community looks like a little Ikea village. We have green homes, that are economical to heat and cool, and we share in common things that would cost us each an arm and a leg to have for occasional use: a craft room, a shop, yard maintenance equipment. We have a big common house with a gourmet kitchen and dining room where we cook and dine together several times/week. There's a guest suite, so we don't need to maintain extra bedrooms. There's a laundry room next to our mailboxes, with a bargain of 25 cents to wash or dry. There's a lot more, so if this sounds good to you, come by on a Sunday from 1-3 to see what we're all about. You'll be glad you did : )

I didn't get all the info, but the small footprint is lesser known. There was a lot of clutter on porches that is a code enforcement problem.
