I have been a tenant of Klinedinst Management for over 10 years and writing a review of my experience with the company is easy: Klinedinst Management leaves every other real estate management company in the dust!

From the very beginning, when we were exploring whether their building could work for my two companies, Paul Klinedinst was by far the most flexible landlord I have ever met. With Klinedinst Management, there are no gray areas and their management style is characterized by a flexible personal approach. Making modifications in the build-out plans was never a problem. Paul would consider the options and instruct his outstanding team to make it happen.

Over the years I have gotten to know Paul Klinedinst and his son Brad not only for their fabulous management style, but also appreciate them at a more personal level. While it can not have been easy to manage an older building sometimes with failing old building issues, Klinedinst Management has always been upfront whatever problem may have occurred and the company provided timely updates on repairs, building improvements, etc.

Leaving such a wonderful landlord team as Paul and Brad was not an easy decision but a combination of circumstances more or less forced us to relocate. What a stark contrast we encountered when initially, we were dealing with an international building management company! Often, we debated whether we would not be better off staying with Klinedinst. Unfortunately, that was not really an option. Even when our moving plans were held up by the ever-so-slow permitting process, Klinedinst Management continued its familiar approach with a flexible and understanding attitude.

It may sound a bit weird, but we will sure miss the Paul and Brad and all their wonderful employees who have been taking care of us for over a decade!

I spoke with Brad about a property that I wanted to see on a Tuesday. I wanted to see the property as soon as possible. He told me that everything should be good to go but he couldn't meet me until Monday. We met on Monday and saw the property and I decided I wanted to get it. He e-mailed me several hours later and pulled out of the deal because the owner of the property had an issue. This was an issue that Brad could have checked on in the week that he had to prepare but instead he waited until the last minute and wasted my time and energy, as well as getting my hopes up. I would not have given a bad review for that, but when I called to respond to his e-mail and go over other possible options he was unapologetic and dismissive. I told him that I was disappointed that he had not checked with the owner before showing me the property and verbally agreeing. He told me no other options were available, that it was not a good fit, and dismissively told me best of luck. I don't have anything positive to say about my experience. Look elsewhere.

4405 East West Highway is not a fancy Bethesda office high-rise. It's an older building, and the management is sensitive to the issues that arise in a structure this age. They are very responsive to problems and work until you are satisfied with the resolution. Brad, Pam and Jeneane and the maintenance staff are always friendly and knowledgeable about the workings of the building. If you're looking for Bethesda glitz, look elsewhere. If you're in search of well located and well run building, this is it.
