Working with Owen and his crew was the best investment we’ve made in our property - and was also an awesome experience. From the first consult with Owen, it was clear he was on a different level than other contractors we interviewed. His questions, his proactive ideas to improve on our designs, his recommendations of how we could reduce cost - everything was on point. And he’s just a super nice and reasonable guy.

Unlike many landscape contractors, Owen (the owner) was on site every week throughout our project to ensure everything was dialed in. But honestly, we didn’t even need that because his crew is so good, and we felt completely taken care of in the hands of our foreman, Carlos. The whole team did exceptional work and were super friendly. Our neighbors even commented on how great the crew was, instead of complaining about the noise & dust.

Owen and his crew all went above and beyond. They often came up with new ideas on the fly to help improve things (without charging more). And if anything wasn’t satisfactory (which was rare) they instantly fixed it. And all of this was easy - Owen and Carlos were always available and super responsive.

The result is incredible, and we couldn’t be happier with our new yard. Even though our project was complex and included grading, new concrete/hardscaping, electrical, irrigation, and building a bocce court - they still finished a bit earlier than the original deadline (which never happens). I couldn’t recommend Owen and Keystone Yards more highly!

Update 4 months later: Unfortunately need to knock off a couple stars for the amount of weeds that have grown around the hardscape. I made it pretty clear I wanted a low maintenance yard. They put weed fabric down but it must not have been fastened down very well because I’m getting weeds galore in the corners between concrete and rock they installed in several areas of my yard. I reached out to Owen to see if they’d be willing to come out and take a look. For paying them thousands $$$$ for my project, I would’ve thought he’d at least send someone out to remedy the situation. He instead told me to pour vinegar on it and he sees it as regular maintenance. I am a bit disappointed because I was hoping to use him in the future.

Yardzen sent me info for three contractors in my area and Keystone yards was one of them. Owen was fantastic to work with from the start. He explained the yardzen process to me and we ended up modifying the yardzen plan to fit my needs and budget. Owen was a great communicator and his bid was the most transparent out of the three I received for my project. His team always arrived on time and the project was completed on schedule. I highly recommend working with Owen and the Keystone Yards team!
