Project: in excess of $80k without pool install included
Areas: Parkway, Front Yard, Side Yard, Back Yard

I cannot describe the full scope of the disappointing experience my spouse and I had with Juniper Landscape - I don't believe the word limit would allow it. We had a full front/side/back yard design/master plan completed by Steve Letz who listed Juniper as a recommended company. From project management, correspondence with other companies on site (pool installation), site cleanliness, installation, to project completion - every aspect of our interaction had some negative experience. We have also considered reporting Juniper to the BBB for questionable activities related to our contract - including 'deleting' signed contracts/estimates to adjust for increase in prices - due to lumber pricing changes as well as their own internal staff errors. I believe quite a few of the positive reviews across the platforms are by Jesse, a family member of Jesse, and employees of the company - which give the false impression of multiple happy customers. I have kept all correspondence and many photos of the project throughout our experience should anyone attempt to counter this review with false claims or gaslighting efforts.

Specific office staff feedback:
(1) Jesse C - terrible customer service. Verbiage in correspondence will blame issues on the customer or the pandemic despite the entire project taking place at the 15-20 month mark into the pandemic (March 2021-Sep 2021).
(2) Danielle M. - initially great customer service, then repeated issues with correct estimates and delays in communication resulting in delays in estimates being signed/submitted for additional work to be completed (example for those trying to refute: quote for footing for south facing fence took over a month from initial request)
(3) Zach G. - initially great customer service; however, promised 'Friday updates' happened only a handful of times over a 6 month project and all others had to be prompted - some of which were returned with comments alluding to us not needing to be updated or requesting project updates too frequently? As the project wore on, correspondence completely disintegrated (for those trying to refute: this dip in correspondence occurred prior to any shift in project oversight in Aug/Sep)

Positive highlights:
(1) Specialty carpenter Jamie - did a great job, very personable. Did not educate us that the special stain used requires relative early and frequent reapplication.

Photos: small sample of issues -
(1) Irrigation concreted into fence post support - multiple issues with irrigation install including two portions having to be completely re-done as it was done incorrectly. I have recently had a different landscape company over to the property who stated the irrigation was installed incorrectly throughout the property.
(2) oil based stain spattered over the siding of the home (stain was also spattered over freshly installed pavers along entire 40ft border of fencing). We hired a pressure washing company and had the house pressure washed - these stains didn't budge.
(3) materials/garbage hidden or left behind retaining wall and fence, between ours and the rear property fencing. Site cleanliness was also an issue and had to be addressed multiple times. We reported this incident to the Project Manager, who stated such behavior was "unacceptable" and the material was removed within a few days but would have remained should we not reported it.
(4) fence gate hinge/hardware/unfinished appearance of cut edges. In order to correct the swing of the gate as it would intermittently not latch (a requirement for a pool) - the main individual at the site decided to shift the hinges so they were no longer installed correctly in order to 'fix' the swing. However, this resulted in the gate no longer being square - with a gap at the top and tight at the bottom and continued issues with the gate. This resulted in us failing a pool installation inspection due to safety.

The company is a total mess to work with. We hired them on a 5 month/ six-figure back yard project in North Park. Would not recommend them to anyone working on a project like this.

They subcontracted most of our work, they barely supervised the work being done resulting in many do-overs. Poor communication within the team and crews, and very little planning. Never a proper work plan or schedule.

If you don’t work from home, if you don’t have time to supervise their work and their billing, this is not the company for you. On at least 2 occasions I was over billed.

All the team is so friendly and give the impression of being professionals, but they are clearly taking on more work than they can handle and it is not fair to the customers.

They do as little as they can to "get the job done".
Example: There was a piece of paper on the ground of my neighbors house the last time they worked and they did not pick it up. Then the next time they were there, they used their leaf blowers to move it to under the bushes at the end of our court, and then today they blew it all the way to our house. The same piece of paper.
We had all talked in our community 3 weeks ago to see if they'd at least pick it up, which is their job, and it's literally a piece of paper no bigger than a postcard. Nope.

They don't maintain the plants, and they often leave the place looking worse than it was before they got here. Very disappointed.
I would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

Couldn’t be happier with the team and final product from Juniper. From planning to execution, the entire team was extremely helpful, responsive and trustworthy. Our month long project was completed on schedule and on budget, and was about as smooth as it could be.

We did a lot of research prior to choosing to work with Juniper, so let me save you the time—I couldn’t recommend Juniper more and am really happy I chose them.

Juniper Landscape is the go to company for renovation or new landscape design and installation. Juniper's team separates themselves from the industry by offering vast knowledge, experience, professionalism, detailed craftsmanship and upfront communication. Most importantly, customer satisfaction. I enjoy working with their team from start to finish on various projects.
Keep up the good work guys!

I just worked with Les and crew to refresh my patio area. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I had help each step of the way (with decision making, and then installation). Everyone was helpful and professional and my patio has been transformed into something lovely!
