After long time working towards we finally made the move to building our dream house. JDS consulting was recommended to us by a friend and after a short investigation we hired them for the design and engineering work for our project. Tommy Elfont is our engineer/ designer and we cannot be happier with the results.
We sent Tommy our vision board pictures and a collage of the floor plan wants and he went to work. We collaborated for a couple of weeks to refine the plans and got it to where the work can start. Once the work started we made some additional changes and Tommy was able to do that for us quickly so we don’t suffer delays.
It really pays off to have your design and engineering under same roof and I highly recommend JDS for your next project.

We have a wall we were hoping to remove, and needed a professional opinion on whether or not it was load bearing. I'm so happy we chose JDS Consulting. Jeremy and Patrick were wonderful to work with. Patrick was respectful, knowledgeable, and incredibly thorough in his work. I would recommend this firm to anyone undertaking a big home remodel project.

I recommend JDS they helped me with a difficult build and gave solid recommendations for the jurisdictions that saved me a lot of money if rework cost. I appreciate all that they have done. Professional, Knowledgable, expedient.

I hired JDS, specifically, Dylan Johnston, to do work on my personal renovation. I am also the Sales Manager of a regional builder in Wilmington, NC, where I have used JDS/Dylan. In all accounts, I found them to be extremely knowledgable, professional, and timely. In all cases, Dylan was at the site within 24 hours and turned around the letters in record time. I would highly recommend them for your structural engineering needs.

We have been working with JDS for a few years now, sporadically because all projects do not require their services, but they always get us into their busy schedules and communicate with us timely. We have had modifications needed once we opened walls or got final details, and they have helped keep us moving via electronic means. Nic Galban recently got us final details to get inspections seemingly from his hospital bed!! I appreciate Tiger, Jeremy, Jonathon, and Nic for all their work and responsiveness. Good folks at JDS!
