I was a resident of Falkland Chase when it was managed by this company. After moving abroad, I planned to return to the U.S. within the timeframe required by Maryland tenant law for the return of my security deposit. However, the check was sent much later than required, and by the time we received it, it was already past the cashing deadline.

Despite multiple attempts to contact you via email and phone, I have not received a response.

I've received over 32 voicemails from JGB Smith regarding fire alarm testing!! Problem is, I have no affiliation with this company. Why am I getting all these calls?

Corporate didn't know their left from their right and didn't offer ANY help in sorting this out. I suggested creating an IT ticket, nope. How about contacting the property manager? Nope.

As I was on the phone with corporate, I got ANOTHER automated call and voicemail letting me know the fire drill testing has concluded. But guess what? She didn't know what to do, therefore she was unable to assist. You're doing great sweetie. 0/10. Would not recommend.

I’ve been leasing space through JBG for just over three years now and have been pleased with my experience so far. This is my first retail lease, and Chris W made the process easy to navigate. He showed me multiple spaces that were available and could meet my requirements, and was thorough in his review of my business plan. Chris continues to be responsive when I have questions about lease renewals and terms. Whenever I see him showing potential tenants available spaces, he is friendly to me and to the people he is with. Though there has been some turnover on the property manager side, Chris has ensured that I always know who to contact regarding building maintenance, security, and billing.

Their property utilizes parking practices that are questionable at best. I can’t understand why a retail center would actively seek to tow customers who are legally parked and well within the posted 2 hour time frame. I contacted management about their lack of signage explaining the “metered parking” (if you don’t start the free meter then Dominion Towing is waiting in the wings for your car) and was told that “it was clear to the manager” how the system works, because “she is there a lot”. None of their numerous signs large enough to be read from the car mention using the meter, and management has no plans to update this to better inform customers of how to avoid being towed. What a great way to promote business.

As a long time resident of the RH Potomac, I'm delighted to report the building has recently gained a professional staff the goes beyond the call of duty. My gratitude and kudos go to Ms. Jeannette Johnson who recently helped me resolve a variety of issues related to my lease and maintenance. She listened --really listened -- to my concerns and quickly pivoted into action to mitigate the outstanding issues. And she did it all with great patience, courtesy, and care. Wow!

I loved my experience at The Galvan, JBG Smith's recent former residence. I stayed there from 2021-2022. My leasing agent, Claudia Fetiva, was so kind and accommodating. The management was also very kind and accommodating, Ethan and Dawn. The service requests were addressed promptly and the front desk concierge was so kind and lovely; (particularly Manny and Linda) they made me feel at home. The building always was clean and smelled so nice. It was near everything I needed. The JBG Smith headquarters staff, Ms. Linda Warren, was so kind and responded promptly to my questions after JBG smith no longer owned Galvan and I had follow up requests for them as I transitioned to my new home. I'm very happy with my experience at JBG Smith former residence, The Galvan.

Had an issue at one of their parking garages. It would not read my card and forced me to use another one. When I did it accepted, but charged me a "lost ticket fee" which is equal to an entire day's worth of parking, despite the fact that I had my original ticket that shows I was only parked for an hour. I had to spend hours finding contact info for this issue, and once I finally did I was told I just needed to provide an address for a refund. I did so back in October and have reached back out every week since and can not get a reply.

My experience with this real estate company has not been the best. I had to contact them several times to get information a property. When Ben Brehne finally responded he wasn't very helpfully and shut me down immediately when I asked him about a property. He never tried to find another property for me or anything. Now I'm a black owned business and I felt certain type of way in regards to the way I was treated because I'm pretty sure he doesn't treat all his customers this way. Needless to say I would not recommend him or this company and looking from the reviews I'm not first person that this place has been discriminatory to. From my experience if you a black business I would go else where.
