If you have a choice, never go with Jack Fisher.

My wife and I had countless issues during the building process. Multiple times representatives of the company (contractors or sales people) would promise something and never follow through with it. It got to the point that I started recording all interaction with Jack Fisher and the next times the representatives promised something and didn't deliver, I notified the division president that I had recordings of their promises. After he found out I was recording the promises he threatened to cancel our home contract until he found out that recording conversations was completely 100% legal in Colorado and he had no grounds to cancel the contract other than he was upset that he had to stand behind what the representatives promised.

We signed the contract in April of 2014 and were promised the home would be finished by September of 2014 (right in our deadline ad my wife was expecting a baby in October so we thought it would work well to move in before the baby comes). We moved in to the house on April 1st, 2015 - a year after we signed the contract. Now I see that the representative promised that to us to make a sale - the division president said that it usually takes no less than 7 months to finish a home.

Another red flag was that Henry Walker/Jack Fisher went through a total of 4 contractors and 3 sales representatives during the 12 months we were under construction. There must be a problem internally when you have 7 people leave the company in that short period. And those were just the people we were dealing with, I don't know how many other employees (if any) left the company while we were under construction.

One other example during construction: I asked to have the water meter in the basement moved from out of the center wall of one of the future downstairs bedrooms to the utility room (around 15 feet away) and the division president said "It is not a finished basement so what is the big deal of where we put the water meter?". If I had known he had that attitude about the customer before going under construction I would have never signed the contract.

When we moved in, every time we turned on the garbage disposal we had one of the breakers trip. We had an electrician come in and say that they wired the electrical boxes in such a way to allow a short in the outlet that caused a breaker to trip. The electrician tried the other outlets in the home and found the same short happening in 2 other outlets throughout the house. Jack Fisher denied this and said they tested all of the outlets before we moved in.

After construction, getting warranty requests fulfilled is like pulling teeth. I wanted them to fix the poor job done while painting our door and staining our stair railing. We moved in our house on April 1st, 2015 and as of writing this review (August 12, 2015) they haven't come back to do touchups.

Our A/C furnace electrical outlet stopped working on June 27th, 2015 so our A/C doesn't turn on in the house. I sent a warranty request on June 28th, 2015 and they still have not come out to fix it as of writing this review (August 12th, 2015). I ended up wiring something up just to get the A/C working to prevent our house from going to 85*.

When I heard that Jack Fisher was pulling out of their Colorado operations because of not succeeding enough financially, it came as no surprise to me. When you have a company that turns their nose up at customer requests, fails to get things done within a reasonable amount of time, and can't stand behind their promises, you have a recipe for company failure.

Please, to save your sanity and potentially added marriage stress, do not consider Jack Fisher Homes for your home needs.
