The new staff of people at this office for the last 4 to 5 years has been very unprofessional and lazy. They stay losing your recertification packets all the time with your personal info on it. They never return your call when you call down there to speak to a particular person or the person you are talking to never knows the answer to your question and transfers to someone who doesn’t pick up. The turnover rate with people coming and going from this office is super high, it’s just a circus down there! They need to wipe the whole staff out and get people who come to work and do what they are suppose to do instead of being lazy losing paperwork with personal info on it. Seems like they are just hiring anyone to have a body in the building.

Told me I was approved and ready to receive a unit. That was 5 months ago this is ridiculous

UPDATE : I spoke with a property manager after waiting for 6 months nd receiving no update I finally speak with a Daquan and was told my case was no longer in the system I have been homeless since JUNE 2022 because I was told. Unit was becoming available I was pregnant at the time of approval they understood the urgency and for them to give me this run around now is crazy he spoke to me as if he was frustrated at MY FRUSTRATION which is ludicrous I’m sure they all leave that office and go to THEIR HOME I just want somewhere for MY KIDS to call HOME

I have been on waiting list for almost two years.. It seems like every time I ask anyone there anything they want to be sarcastic. I know a year ago I was #112 on waiting list for a 2 bdr. now after staying in crowded family home having to move out. Where to go with my autistic child?
Someone please get in this office and figure out why these apartments only go to people that know someone to get one.

My daughter and my grandchildren are living in a home infested with black mold, and rats it's falling apart an it past inspection like this! I'm hurt and I'm disgusted. The city of Hopewell Redevelopment and Housing did the inspection on this home and I can't understand how!!

There are a lot of pitfalls in certain places you live, but sometimes you have to take the good with the bad. The staff is nice and the groundskeeper's are friendly and helpful. Some residents are unruly and rough, for the most part the elderly residents are helpful and friendly. Safety issues are present, but it looks like Housing is dealing with the disruptive activities to make it a safer environment!

VERY RUDE PEOPLE!! I turned in an application for housing and the lady NEVER put my application in the system. When I asked for an explanation the lady on the other end of the phone was VERY rude! They do not do business well!
