Hometown Lanscaping is the absolute best!!!! We hired them for our backyard pool project and they were kind, professional, responsive, and informative every step of the way. The owners are amazing, and all of the staff (Jeff, Nick, Claude, Chris, and Fred to name of few) made us feel important and informed at all times. We love our new space and look forward to creating many amazing memories in our new backyard!!

Very professional from start to finish! First, I was very impress with Jeff (designer), who came to my house to do an assessment and gave the estimate. Jeff is quite knowledgeable on landscape design and gave advice that make sense (comparing to other company who will just do what customer asked without giving any thought). The quote that received from Hometown is quite reasonable, considering the quality of work and service that they provide. After signing the contract, Melissa from the sales office followed up with the scheduling on when the work will get done. She is very responsive to my emails and phone calls. Just great communication overall. First phase of my backyard project is to clear the land (a.k.a. jungle behind my fence) and seed the area. On the day of the appointment, the crew came to start the work bright and early. The crew supervisor (Elmer) was very friendly, professional and accommodating to my ad-hoc request. The crew worked fast, efficient and cleaned up everything when they were done. And by the end of the day, my backyard looks awesome. Now I have additional 30' of space to build my shed, firepit, etc. I'll definitely have Hometown coming to do my second phase of my backyard renovation in the Spring. (to be continued ...)

I donʻt leave reviews often, but Hometown Landscape deserves it!

This company is not only the best landscaping company I have ever worked with (and I used to work in landscaping) but its the best company that I have worked with in recent memory. Exception customer service and exceptional quality.

As we were getting our house ready to sell, we needed a ton of work done in a very short amount of time and they knocked it out with time to spare. We actually had to leave town after we had fresh sod put in, so the owner of the company offered to personally water our lawn for us so the sod didnʻt die. Dead grass would kill our listing pictures and would obviously turn off potential buyers.

Not only is the owner a top notch professional, but his crews work like machines. The are extremely efficient yet cautious, all while being personable..

I canʻt recommend this company enough. Hire them, the will not disappoint you!

My family and I are extremely happy with the work and professionalism of Hometown Landscaping. Hometown has completed various projects for us that include beautiful landscaping, hardscaping, outdoor kitchen, and fence and deck installation. Our project manager, Jeff, was incredible to work with and created a beautiful design for the front, sides, and backyard of our home. When we decided to move forward with an inground pool, Hometown was our first call to help create the backyard oasis of our dreams. Jeff worked closely and professionally with our pool company and the timing necessary to extend our patio design, install our pool decking, landscaping, and fencing around the pool. The results exceeded all expectations! We have greatly enjoyed our outdoor space with all thanks given to Hometown Landscaping! They will always be our FIRST call and recommendation!

I wish I could give 0 stars. "Customer waives the right to withhold from payment or set off any funds for any reason whatsoever" – that’s the first thing you’ll sign in their contract. It’s essentially a license for Hometown Landscaping to do whatever they want, refuse to fix issues, and then bully you into paying for subpar work. $36,000.00 to fix what they have done wrong!

They are currently suing me in Circuit Court because I refused to pay the final payment until they put all permanent fixes in writing.

To start, the quality of their work is absolutely horrendous. After multiple attempts to get them to fix ongoing issues, they have refused to put any solutions in writing, leaving me stuck with a backyard that looks worse than before they started.

The list of problems is endless:

Billing for uncompleted work: They billed me for 230 tons of fill dirt that was never delivered.

Patio Extension Double Bill: They also tried to double-bill me for a patio extension by adding on top of the proposal after it was already listed separately in a second proposal.

Lighting and electrical issues: They were supposed to wire and hook up lights to the electrical source, but instead, they just left the wiring lying in the yard for me to hire an electrician to finish.

Incomplete work: They were supposed to build a platform for pool equipment, but they never did.

Shoddy stonework: The concrete border they installed around the patio is a mess. It was not done according to industry standards or the stone manufacturer’s specifications, making the patio look awful and preventing grass from growing. After trying to fix it, they just put in river rock, which constantly moves, exposes the ugly edges, or ends up in the pool.

Patio sinking and drainage problems: The patio itself is sinking in multiple areas and is now lower than the drains. The drains are completely ineffective because there are gaps between the stone and the drain, making them useless.

Subpar natural stone walkways: The mortar on the walkways keeps washing away due to improper grading and placement, and they’ve tried to "fix" it several times without a lasting solution. Now I’m expected to maintain the shoddy work they’ve done.

Promised a green lawn: put 2ā€ of topsoil and grass seed late last year and all of it washed away and I have a lawn of weeds.

I had another reputable stone company come in for an estimate, and their bid to fix everything was $36,000. It’s clear Hometown Landscaping does not care about the quality of their work or customer satisfaction—they’ve just tried to get me to pay and hope I’ll go away.

On top of all of this, Hometown Landscaping is incredibly aggressive with legal threats. They sued me in Circuit Court because I refused to pay for work they haven’t fixed and tried to charge me for work they didn’t even complete. They don’t care about you as a customer—only about getting paid and then washing their hands of any responsibility.

Do yourself a favor—stay far away from this company. I’m stuck with poor workmanship and an expensive legal battle because of their business practices. Save yourself the headache and hire a different company.

I had several problems and they still have not been resolved, even though I have contacted them several times. I had two different jobs I had them do. Neither one was completely satisfactory. They did finally resolve most of the issues. I believe the problem was more with the employee and not the company itself.

We worked with Tony. Carlos was the crew supervisor for the job. They excavated approx. 2,400 sq. ft. of gravel driveway, added leafgro and topsoil, and installed sod. Also removed 6 fence posts. The results were simply terrific. Well beyond expectations. In 4 1/2 hours this new beautiful lawn area, with perfect contours and drainage was created. We worked closely with the crew to tweek the design as the work progressed. Hometown Landscape is highly recommended. They were low price - by a lot!
