I've had several agents in the last couple of years, and Victoria Ray Henderson @ HomeBuyer Brokerage, far outshined every one. Stephen Mercer represented us when purchasing our home in Maryland. As buyers from Florida, we heavily relied upon his expertise as he was oftentimes our first eyes on a property. He visited the property and thoroughly narrated his thoughts via video of the respective home which he provided on a very timely basis. At the time we were looking (January 2024- April 2024) the market heavily favored sellers but he perservered until we found the contemporary home we desired. This was my first time buying a single family home, I was nervous and unsure of where to start. My fiancée had worked with Victoria and Marshall Henderson of HomeBuyer Brokerage before, when she was buying her condo, and she was adamant about working with them again.
Now I understand why. They are simply amazing.
Victoria and Marshall were super communicative, friendly, and our personal advocates at every turn. They took our desires in a home to heart and found property after property with great potential. Even when we visited a home that ended up lacking (in the basement or attic, never in the photos of course), they were the first ones to point out flaws, make suggestions for potential fixes (with a slew of contractor recommendations), and bring my fiancée and I back down to Earth about finding something better.

My partner and I have been avoiding buying a house for years because we did not understand the system and thought it was going to be a difficult process. We reached out to Stephen Mercer at HomeBuyer Brokerage just to explore what was out there. What started as a test, ended in us closing on our dream home a month later.

Stephen was just great since day one, instead of trying to push a sale, he told us to take our time to figure out what we wanted. We both work full time and travel a lot and we very much appreciate his willingness to go check on houses early on weekends and get on meetings with us late at night. We were lucky to find our house on day two, but what really made the difference was that Stephen:
1- Was super quick to make appointments to go see the houses
2- Communicated constantly and clearly w us
3- He's a former contractor so he gave his honest opinion on things we could fix easily and things that would be more pricey to change, this helped enormously during the negotiation.
4- He has a lot of experience, even though we thought we had the financial part sorted out, he gave us great recommendations that ended up being quicker and better than what our bank was offering.
5- He's just a great guy and we really enjoyed working with him, we truly felt like he was looking after us.

I highly recommend any buyer to work with Stephen, he set up the right expectations since the beginning, he told us to not rush things so we could make the right decision, but when we needed things to move quickly he got the job done and gave us the best buying experience imaginable.
