I discovered Holly from her selling a home next door to one I owned in San Clemente. I saw that she and her husband, Scott, had renovated and sold it and saw a video of that on YouTube. I was intrigued and excited about her offer to help clients update their homes to make more money on the sale of them. I invited her to my home and asked her what her thoughts were about making changes to it before I sold it. She knew the profile of the buyer that would buy my home and recommended that we update it to maximize my bottom line and wow what a difference! She brought her contractor and even advanced the funds for the renovation! Holly suggested new flooring, painting the cabinets and walls, new kitchen counters and backsplash, new light fixtures, and staging. The cost was about $85,000 but it increased the home value by $350,000. She was incredibly quick to respond whenever I called or texted her and always had solutions to the challenges that came up along the way. I was amazed at how quickly the renovation went. A friend recommended Holly McKhann to sell my childhood home a few years ago. Holly came over to assess and make recommendations on what to do to improve our home's value. Initially she said we should do some paint, flooring and build two walls. We ended up not doing any renovations because family members lived in the home and they were considering purchasing it.

We reached out to Holly again 6 months ago for a current opinion and she recommended then that we not do any improvements based on the then current market. Following her advice, we removed many belongings and got the home professionally cleaned to prepare it for sale. Holly marketed it and held open houses, generating lots of interest and 13 offers. She helped us work through the many details, analyzing, countering and negotiating with the many offers. The first offer we worked with was the highest, but the buyers quickly became unresponsive and we moved on to a cash offer with no contingencies. The buyer closed on time according to plan and everything went well. Holly even negotiated for us to have extra time at no cost after the close of escrow. This gave us time to get the remaining items out of the home that we wanted, and we were able to leave behind furniture we no longer wanted to make it convenient for us.
