HOA Strategies has been an outstanding management company for our community over the past four years. Their professionalism, responsiveness, and dedication to keeping everything running smoothly has been much better than our previous management company and we are very glad we made the switch. Highly recommend Trever and his team if you are looking for a management company to make your life easier as a community board member.

I had the opportunity to work with Austin at HOA Strategies and his dedication not only the properties he assists in managing but to the property owners is outstanding. His empathy toward clients going through a disaster, in their eyes, can not be matched. His communication and timeliness were more than we expected after having worked with other HOA companies in the past. Thanks Austin

We had a confluence of several emergency situations when Lucy C. came on board last spring as our HOA Strategies liaison. We had been a client of theirs for about a year at that time. I was immediately aware of how eager Lucy was to service our needs and how thoughtful and kind she was. She has a rare ability to work with challenging situations but still maintains a very caring approach to individuals. We have been very pleased with her work with us and want her to be our advocate for a long time.

HOA Strategies were very good to work with for me and my situation. They were willing to work with me and give me information that I was in need of. I especially was grateful for the help of the person that took calls and directed me where I needed to go. I was impressed that a representative attended the HOA board meetings and clarified details of issues at hand. I felt they were honest and upfront with issues. They informed members of the HOA of things this that were concerns and were open. They did not sugar coat things and just say things that members wanted to hear. I felt hey layed it out as they saw it was now and down the road. I found that impressive

I had this home owners association for a property I owned back in Ogden at centennial condominiums. I sold it because this HOA company was so bad & terrible at getting things under control, responding, handling issues in the community.
I just bought a new house and was mortified when I saw that they were the HOA company for my new property in SLC. From ogden to SLC they have been horrible to deal with in the past. So sad I have them again for my new home.

I recently moved into this community and have encountered ongoing challenges with the HOA. Communication has been particularly difficult, as it has been a struggle to get in touch with them. I reported overgrown trees that are making contact with multiple areas of my roof. While the HOA acknowledged the issue and stated it was ‘on their radar,’ they informed me that other priorities take precedence.

Additionally, I submitted a request regarding a roof leak, and while I was initially told that a quote had been requested, I received no further updates before the request was unexpectedly closed. Despite these unresolved issues, the HOA recently announced a 17% increase in monthly fees, which will now exceed $400/month. This lack of responsiveness, coupled with the significant fee increase, has been a source of frustration.

I put in a request for a new garbage can since mine was broken when we moved in. The HOA marked my service request as completed without ever contacting me. They put comments in my service request as this is the homeowners responsibility I reached out to Layton City and was told that The HOA where I live only the property manager can work through them to get a new garbage can.
When I called the HOA back, I was told that they’ve talked to me about this several times and they cannot get me a garbage can I need to call the city? They must have me confused. They have never once spoken to me about a garbage can.
I also put in a service request about You my cracked patio. When I looked in my HOA portal that service request is also marked as complete. It says that they had a Foundation Repair company out to fix the problem.
Well that never happened. The cracks in my patio have been getting worse all summer And I never heard from them about having someone come out to look at my patio. Not once. They are very shady. They pick and choose who to respond to and what they want to work on. We pay $350 in HOA fees a month for what? I had broken sprinklers, all summer. The majority of my plants died and I just get to keep paying while they don’t take care of their service requests and responsibilities. They don’t even respond. Although they will try telling you they did. Yo

Just like the rest of the reviews. They are absolutely horrible at responding. Our unit has had 5 sewage floods in 2 months. Trever keeps saying it happens. (Very empathetic) how does it happen 5 times in two months?!! July 10th they had said they had called a plumber at 5:19PM and got a ticket with All Hours plumbing. No plumber showed up. I had called All Hours Plumbing at 9:50PM (almost 5 hours later) and they said they had no ticket for anyone to come out. During this time we had the restoration company come out to sanitize the mess because we thought the plumber would be here. This is getting out of hand.

The first time this happened June 8th 2021, I had asked Jennifer how we are going to keep this from happening again. All she said she would do is send an email. I had asked if we could pressure wash the pipes or do something to prevent but. Sure enough a month later we are getting worse floods.

If you are looking for a property management company I suggest you look at other companies and do not use HOA Strategies. Our HOA fee is $188/month and you think we would have better luck. I’ll let you decide what you do with this review but I can’t emphasize enough 5 floods over a period of month…. I’m not happy

Update: Plumber came today July 11th that we found and had said this was not our units fault.
