I am a new owner builder in Yavapai County. A county employee informed me to find an Architect to stamp my non residential structure - AKA a garage. I made a few calls and Todd from Headwaters Architecture PC was available with an appointment. As i and my young family are trying to find the office, i say good morning to a lady walking near by with the hope to ask for help finding this suite. She ignores me and continues walking. RUDE but okay. She ends up being Todd's secretary. Once i had my appointment, Todd quoted $5-6K for reviewing and stamping prints i found online! Once i got the official quote, it was MORE. I called a few more Architects around AZ and some informed me that this is not needed for a non residential garage. I called the county again and did confirm that all i needed to do is submit the prints and plot plan. This Architect named Todd was about to scam me for over $6K for something that the county actually did not require! Scammer or predator, i will leave that to you. Beware of these predators and uninformed employees. DOUBLE CHECK ALWAYS. No hard feelings for this firm but wanted to inform the public in a matter of fact. Stay safe and stay informed. Trust your gut and don't think these "Professionals" have the best interest for you and your family. LET"S KEEP EVERYONE HONEST IN OUR COMMUNITIES PLEASE.

Todd is a knowledgeable Architect and the staff is extremely friendly and professional. I am happy with their custom architect solutions which is helping me build a unique type of home and still help me stay within budget.
