I used Hazelwood Engineering for a residential project when adding onto my home. The team was fast, attentive and offered solutions to some unique issues that came up during excavation around my 100-year-old home. They appear to be focused on commercial projects now and I'd highly recommend the company to any developer working in Utah.

Ryan and his team are the real deal. We are a large scale renovation company here in SLC and are constantly running into structural changes and issues on projects. Hazelwood engineering is prompt with their replies and are great problem solvers. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a structural engineering firm.

Hazelwood Engineering was great with our residential project. Came out and did an onsite visit to our 1963 ranch before any work was done. Ryan worked well with our designer/drafter to get us what we needed within a couple of weeks. With ease we were able to get our plans approved by Murray City and had no problem with our permits. All of the work was done for a very reasonable price. Would definitely work on future project with Hazelwood Engineering.

Very poor asked them to help me with the permit process for single family home. They said the knew exactly what was needed to get the permit through the system. Paid them 2200 dollars which I thought at the time was high but trusted them. I turned in the permit apparently County came back and needed more information. Asked Hazelwood engineer to help with the knew requirements and they told me they were done and would not help.
Sad you pay that much money and would see the work through. You may want to think twice before using this company
